You always bring home the bacon? Apologies my list of Danish puns is paltry. Or should that be pastry?
Probably the best post...in the world. Were you trying to get the thread bacon track, or pulling HH24's Lego ?
Yeh, it's not just slower either, they tend to start getting muscle injuries, tight hamstrings and so on like Success and Hungbo.
I haven't got a scooby doo what you are talking about. I canute for the life of me figure out why every thread descends into puns.
If we sign both him and Ashley Fletcher, they will exactly cancel out and it will be like we have signed no one.
Think we can probably file this one under Rubbish as he is actually quite a good player and we are exclusively targetting *****
He seemed slightly better than Zinc when at Bodo/Glimt, and his style of play is what we need on the left. However, maybe as with Zinc he might also struggle a bit with the pace and intensity of the PL?
https://www.calcionews24.com/calcio...hanoglu-assalto-a-de-paul-con-la-carta-hauge/ As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rodrigo De Paul ended up in the Devil's sights . In the last few hours there has been talk of an Atletico Madrid offensive for the Argentine but the Colchoneros are far from Udinese's requests (40 million) for their captain. Milan feel able, therefore, to be able to win the competition using the Jens Petter Hauge card . The Norwegian would represent a welcome counterpart to bring down the costs of buying De Paul . It starts with an evaluation of 15 million euros, but it is clear that everything depends on the actual negotiations for the possible exchange. For example, the footballer could be more useful at Watford (also owned by the Pozzo family), just promoted to the Premier League. This solution would certainly be appreciated by the Norwegian Under 21 (for which there have already been polls from other English clubs), perhaps with a bridging operation: direct sale to the Friulian club and loan to the Watford cousins. In this perspective, roughly, Udinese would touch a nest egg between 20 and 25 million. In turn, the Rossoneri would achieve a significant capital gain considering that Hauge arrived in September for just 4 million. At home Milan there are good feelings on this front, while taking into account the difficulties related to the acquisition of a player at the height of his career and looking for the contract that sanctions his definitive leap in quality. The Milan from this point of view is a point of arrival and, in this poor market economic resources, not a subject to be reckoned with.
He has looked bright in spells for Milan this season. Different pace / intensity but he looks more ready than Zinc has done for us.
I don't really know what style of football predominates in Norway, but you'd think a season in Serie A would be better preparation for English football than Norway
There is no way that I can see the Pozzos accepting Milan's valuation of 15 million Euros for Jens Petter Hauge. They make their money from player trading and they will be looking for a good profit on Rodrigo De Paul. The report mentions a fee of 40 miilion Euros, but Adam Leventhal suggested in a recent article in the Athletic that the Pozzos would be looking for a fee closer to 50 miilion Euros. He believed that Italian clubs are not in a position to pay that amount at the moment due to the financial impact of the pandemic. A.C. Milan may covet De Paul, but it seems that they do not have the money which will be required (as is also the case with Atletico Madrid) to buy Rodrigo de Paul. I suspect that Milan are (to use an expression) "flying a kite". Leventhal believed that it is a real possibility that the Pozzos may decide to send De Paul to Watford (which apparently was the plan last season if Watford had not been relegated) if De Paul is agreeable to the idea of playing in the Premier League. The Pozzos will not sell him on the cheap: they think that exposure in the Premier League will increase his market value and the market should start to recover in 2022. De Paul is also supposedly looking for a new challenge. It will be interesting to see what happens, but of course De Paul may decide to force a move if he wants to play for A.C. Milan or Atletico Madrid.
Not sure how to interpret the literal translation. I guess that means Leverkusen are at the front of the queue but Pozzo is still interested should they not get it done?
Maybe that’s why we just gave ourselves an nice £18mil boost. That money will be used to do deals. Maybe there’s a couple we’re planning on doing but we need to offer a little bit more upfront than planned to get them done.
Under the finance thread. Unless I’m reading it wrong, it looks like we’ve taken out a loan against the £18mil we were due from Udinese for GD and RP. So rather than waiting for that finance to come in, we’ve given it to ourselves now through a loan of some Australian bank.
You're not allowed to suggest stuff like that - some of the nincompoops here will only ever imagine that the Pozzos are bleeding the club dry or running it in to the ground, not actually doing something positive like helping us buy new players!
In case you haven't noticed, interest rates are pretty damn low right now - the cost could be practically insignificant. As I mentioned in the other thread there could also be other reasons why such a loan might be financially beneficial.
