Ive seen the footage.. i'm not sticking up for him (and i knew you'd go down that route) but i was trying to point out that you got two things wrong in your post.

Call me pedantic but that's how it was.

So that's your only goal? Rather than comment on Jamie Carragher's behaviour, you'd rather just point out something you think is wrong in a post to deflect the conversation away from Carragher or to win some sort of point scoring contest. Why do forums always get like this?

Which post are you referring to and which two things did I get wrong just so I can be clear about it. If you're correct, I will give you credit for the point you desperately want to win.

I'd much rather keep the conversation on track and talk about this disgusting behaviour though.

No way can the bloke continue to be a punter on Sky, it would never leave him. If he had an cajonas he'd resign, but he doesn't.

I have. I've not deviated from it, even though others try to deflect. Read posts #25, #28, #31, #33, #35. All about Carragher's conduct, even though the little fishes are trying to have a nibble along the way.

Don’t be quite so tough on yourself. I’m sure it meant a lot to you an hour ago.

It meant something to me before you destroyed my head.. again.

You mentioned the courtroom earlier and you know what if you are not a lawyer you bloody well should be. Ignore all the facts that go against your argument.. waffle on and on about other stuff until you'd have the defendant pleading guilty to something he hadn't done just to get away!

HB QC.. has a ring to it.

I don't think you've quite grasped how organisations like Sky work.

They suspend him for a while to see whether this all blows over or whether it stays 'hot' on the social media.

If they move on to something other huge controversy that (sigh) rocks the entire soccer world!! then Jamie stays and learns his lesson and makes a shamefaced return to the mic. But if nothing much newsworthy happens in the next few days and the mooing bovine twatter hordes of premiershit "soccer fans" keep baying for Carragher's head, then he'll get tossed to the wolves like they did with those phone hacking journalists.

    HR my arse!

Disgusting incident, and I'd be surprised if he doesn't get the sack. But then again, Kirsty Gallacher kept her job despite being done for drink driving whilst on her way to pick up her children where it was found she was three times over the limit - which is far worse imo. But like others have said - Sky are probably weighing up whether or not they'll lose out by sacking/keeping him.

Despite how gross it is though, it has produced some amusing memes:

It is indeed assault. And of a minor compounds it. The evidence is damning. It should be a police matter. Not for Sky to deliberate on. Why hasn't he been arrested yet?

I think others will be able to form their own judgement of where the pedantry lies.

It's also why they had him put his apology out on Sky News just before the PM made her commons statement on Salisbury/Russia.

I imagine he'll be suspended for the rest of the season and be back next season.

    I very much doubt that.

What? That others aren't capable of making their own judgements?

Correct me if I'm wrong here legal eagles. If there is clear evidence that a crime has been committed then the police can prosecute irrespective of whether there is a formal complaint from a third party or not?

Isn't that what they did with Ched Evans? Even though in that case the evidence wasn't very clear at all.

    We'll see.

As Matt ****inson reports in The Times today :-
Kirsty Gallacher was kept on by Sky despite a drink-driving conviction last year for being three times over the legal limit at 11am. So Sky must decide if this is about the offence or the scale of the public backlash.

There we go, suspended till the end of the season, his apology already buried amongst bigger stories. No doubt will do some work during the World Cup and then back in time for next season, probably sneak him in a few smaller games to begin with to see how the public react.

His discussing act was pre-meditated, I don't believe he will be back at Sky!
