I'd take Eddie.
Muff played attractive football under him and had a really pleasing style.
The diving and wanting to ref the games was annoying but got "results."
He'd certainly improve the passing ability of all the players.
It's all a pipe dream/mare though because our jokers would never go for someone like him.

Won't happen for sure, but Saint Eddie certainly would be the most amazing reverse heel turn in football for quite some time if he did suddenly pitch up here.

 

Saint Edward of Howe would be a hilarious appointment, mostly for getting in the ears of the officials. Still, I don't see how he'd have got more creativity out of the carthorses in our team, and he certainly wouldn't be up for being undermined by the Pozzos after so many years of being the main man at Boscombe

To be fair, I thought Demin wanted to take back more control over transfers from Howe as his record was far from great, not to mention of course that he got them relegated anyway.

I'm completely willing to give Ivic more time to show he can be more flexible and play some decent stuff. I do however wish we had managed to get Struber in hindsight.

I think there's a number of reasons that we seem to be so poor - and I don't think all of them are down to the manager. We've had a summer of upheaval, we likely have a squad who are still licking their wounds rather than putting last season behind them and we've not recruited properly. However, there's little excuse for the turgid, percentage football that Ivic is serving up and his refusal thus far to be even remotely flexible is losing him supporters slowly - that will speed up every time we chuck in a tame effort and that's been far too prevalent so far in these opening games. He's not on borrowed time - but soon will be if this continues.

I also think a lot of this may be down to the length of his contract still - giving him just a year subliminally suggests to the squad that they don't have to buy into him 100%

In terms of who would I replace him with?

To entertain AND get promoted: Slavisa Jokanovic
To bore AND get promoted: Swallow pride and take Sam Allardyce
To entertain but stay in this division: Eddie Howe
To bore and stay in this division: At present, we may as well keep him as that's what we are getting.

I suspect Gino would go after Sabri Lamouchi though....

 

Trump or Biden. One will be available within a week without any compo to pay.

 

The trouble is, with no fans in the ground there is next to no possibility of him realising how much he is pi55ing us off.
