It's nothing to do with social media. People* were calling Jamie moralee a wrong un after about 5 mins of his debut. Sometimes a dud is blatantly obvious. The same thing happened with Nathan ellington, and social media was hardly a thing then. *not me mind, I blame the players around him for not playing to his strengths....
For what it's worth I thought he looked fairy decent in the handful of touches he had when he came on, against a deep Burnley defence that is not ideal for a player like him. He was all over the place positionally again, I really don't know if this is something Quique is telling him to do or he's just doing himself. It's clear that he hardly understands English which can't help - foulquier was translating Quique's tactical instructions for him when Sarr was coming on. So on the pitch there can't be any communication happening with, say, Deeney and deulofeu.
I think Sarr needs to be given a run of games immediately to see whether he can make a difference. It’s totally risk-free, because if he’s pants, then he will be no worse than anyone else
I think Gino will demand this at some point. How else is he going to recoup a decent sum in the summer?
I agree. He can only going to improve if we play him. We know the limitations of our other forward players yet we've not had long enough to judge Sarr. The rest of the season should be experimental now. We've got 25 friendlies if you like, against top quality opposition. We should use this time to blood the youngsters. Bring Wilmot back from Swansea, throw in players like Cassidy, Quina, Sarr….start playing Chalobah. These are players for the future and I think it would be vital for them in their football education to play out the rest of the season without the pressure that's normally on games. Once we all admit we are relegated, then we can rebuild without the pressure. Next season is going to be incredibly important in order to bounce back. We'll have only one big chance as players, especially the talented young ones, will be convinced to stay at the club. Everyone likes being part of a promotion winning side, or even the champions. We need to rebuild for next season and that has to start immediately.
Agreed. I would like to Success given a go as well. He looked OK at the start of last season. If we are effectively relegated he may play better. No point in keep playing Deeney and Gray, we know they are bang average, and won’t get any better. Our team looks old and past it, we need to give some of the younger players a go, and let them play with a bit of freedom
I think Hughes, Cleverly and Chalobah would likely stay, as well as the Troy and Drey combo. Can't see anyone paying what we'd want for them. Would also have a decent chance for Cucho and Peneranda staying.
Jaamaat said he wanted to stay but that might change if we go down . We will have more games including mid week ones so let's hope our fitness levels improve !!
If he wants to stay, it further brings in to question the judgement of those in charge of making that happen. He's twice the player Kiko is.
