Another typical trait of fans is to judge a player on the basis of a few minutes. I seem to remember Doucoure getting all sorts of abuse. And ditto for Sarr. Players need to feel confidence from the manager, be played to their strengths and encouraged. Some players adapt rapidly others take time. He has barely played an hour always as a substitute yet apparently he is not good enough on the basis of these minutes.
This is the fanbase that cheered Ighalo going off because he didn't score in his first couple of games for us.
I was about to write the same about Sarr and Doucoure, but you beat me to it. Let's also not forget that in those 60 minutes he's single handedly saved us a point with that goal line clearance against Spurs, which come the end of the season could be critical. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
Or maybe they decided as has been written about that they were not pleased that he and Pedro have not been played.
Runs around a bit, but my Lord is he lightweight. Can't fault him, but who the **** thought he'd survive in English football?
Would be helpful if he was played in his natural role. I cannot understand why coaches always persist by playing players out of position handicapping themselves. In Vlad's case though given the limited options he has he can be excused.
Looks like he may be joining Crotone instead of Udinese. Loan with the option to buy. https://momentidicalcio.com/2020/09...to-dal-watford-trattativa-ai-dettagli-finali/
Wants to stay at Udinese after he recovers from his ACL. Best for all parties if that happens - never looked like he'd be up to the job, blown around like a crisp packet in a light breeze.
Good riddance....did the best thing he ever achieved in a watford shirt within two minutes of his debut by clearing the ball of the line in the spurs game. other than that he looked like a footballer who would never be able to hack it in the english game.
