'IF' we go up...

Well, since you're Giampaolo Pozzo, you can always stop it.

 

Okay.. IF we go up, and that's a big IF. I'd like to see:

GK - New goalkeeper somewhere in the 24-26 age bracket. A solid keeper (not that Almunia isn't at this level) will be key to staying up in my opinion and it's a worthwhile long-term investment.

DC - New Centreback. Someone with some Premier League experience, or someone from Germany where they have experience of the physicality and can come straight in.
DC - Ekstrand. Loan extension
DC - New Centreback. A technically proficient centre-back in the mould of Nastasic (obviously not actually him).

RWB - Cassetti. Loan extension/signed on a free
LWB - New Left Wing-back. Someone tall, young, quick and naturally left footed. Gareth Bale? I think so......

MC - Chalobah. Another year's loan please.
MC - Abdi. Would love to sign on a permanent, if not then loan extension.
MC - New Centre-mid. A destroyer of men who is composed enough to lay it off to Chalobah or Abdi to act as our primary playmakers. People have mentioned Badu, does he fit this role?

ST - Vydra/Fessi. Vydra on a permanant please, but I don't see it happening so loan extension is fine.
ST - Deeney/New Striker. We need someone as adequate cover for Deeney. He's shown enough this year to warrant a place in the team next year if we go up, however we need a plan B in the same mould as we can't rely on him all year.

Then I'd like another young central midfielder, left wing-back, striker and right wing-back as cover/rotation options. Kosecki could do a job in Chalobah's role with Abdi playing a little more reserved and based on youtube (lol) I'd be very happy if we could get him.

Do be honest even if we don't go up I'd love to see this team, we'd walk The Championship if the new players are of an equal/better standard than the others I'd keep in the team.

Get rid of:

Hall
Eustace
Geijo

Keep the rest as rotation options, send Hoban out on loan to The Championship if we can bring in a good young centre-back on loan as cover.

 

I think people are getting very, very carried away.

Let's just concentrate and hopefully enjoy Saturday first.

 

I don't think we have seen the full potential of Geijo this season as Deeney has remained injury free and maintained his form. Imagine he will return to Granada to bolster their squad.
