Was at a charity quiz night yesterday and was able to have a long chat with Luther - what an absolutely top bloke he is. Gave his time for free and was the last one to leave - happy to chat with everyone, at length, have photos taken, etc. Lovely, lovely guy.
I've never had the pleasure of talking to him but always comes across as a really good guy. Never seems to be bitter about his lack of opportunity in the game after he finished playing and never seems to play the "race card" like Sol, Ince, and others. Just seems grateful for the career that he had and clearly still loves the club.
Can we re name The Rookery The Luther Blissett Stand. Surely one of the most popular players of all time
Met him a couple of times and yes a top bloke. Even sponsored my uncle once when he was doing some charity event. Good man.
I met him in a curry house in Tring a few years back (he was celebrating his birthday). I had a chat with him at the end of the evening and he was a lovely bloke. Even put up with a slightly drunk me telling him he's a legend.
