Yes, but looking ahead to a cup final in which you know we'll be thrashed, isn't a good mind set to have for 2 months. I enjoyed the 2 month build-up, but not the 90 minutes.
That's where you misunderstand. I didn't "know we'd be thrashed". I accepted it was more likely that we'd be thrashed than we won, but there was a small chance we'd win. But mentally I was prepared for the outcome given it was so highly likely. I enjoyed the build up (that SF win was an amazing day) and enjoyed the day tremendously up until about the 23rd minute having whispered to my wife that we were "1/4 of the way through and it's still 0-0...so far so good".
Applying the same test as for someone making a joke about calling Samaritans when they think people are overreacting, that makes this post homophobic. Ref!
