Portsmouth is famous for sailors taking it up the arse. And is a **** hole.
I would love to see you say that face to face with the servicemen I've met over the years.
Ps. Some areas are a dump but that's mostly outer-city. Inner-city has been fully regenerated over the last 15 years and has increased tourism no end. Just a few hours on a summers evening, sipping a cocktail under the lights of the spinnaker tower will convince anybody that portsmouth is not a sh*thole. Having said that, I wouldn't want to live in Fratton but in three years of living there I only had to go there once. And even then it's miles out the way and wasn't that bad, just one road, not exactly moss side.
Most people who think of Portsmouth as a dump have never been there.
This is precisely why it's a **** hole.
I agree with you, and it's particularly nice by the seafront.
So it's not the place you have issue with, it's the servicemen who dock once in a blue moon?
It is indeed, Southsea is very pleasant especially in the summer! Holds special memories for the missus and I!
Portsmouth is a ****hole. Arry is welcome to it.
I never actually believed our fans were total ***** until I joined this forum.
Bleedin' ell. Tell me, do you get erections just thinking about Portsmouth/Fratton Park/those fruity sailors?
No. It's both.
It tried to copy Dubai but ran out of money so only built the skeleton of the burj al arab and a pint-sized tower.
So your definition of a sh*thole is anywhere that's less of an eyesore than Dubai?
I assume you don't live in Watford then.
Nope, only when Im inside your Mum.
I'm going to Phoenix next month for Spring Training.
Lets face it though, behind all of the bravado, Portsmouth is more than just a little bit crap.
Last time I checked, this was wfcforums, not portsmouthfcforums.
Last time I was there it was dark, I was drunk and didn't have any contacts in but I'm sure it was nice.... although the burd I was seeing at the time did live in horrid student accomodation down some dingy road but guess that's a small part of the place.
Student accommodation is hit or miss down there. Our second year house wasn't brilliant but good enough for a group of lads. Our third year accommodation was on the seafront opposite the common. Nice area, no trouble, walking distance from the city and most uni buildings and if you pulled and was too ashamed to parade her round the front room in the morning (house rule) then the beach was just there. The inside of the house was immaculate. Got very lucky!
I then moved to Oxford and had a very good insight into student accommodation up here. You wouldn't let your kids live in any of them. Disgusting.
You're the **** who keeps banging on about it!
Plus this is the general area of the forum. Football isn't the focus here. If you want to talk Watford FC there are plenty of threads for you to contribute to. You probably won't find much football talk under a thread titled 'Holidays'.
Have you lived there then?
Do I get paid commission to do this also?
In conversation or in response to ***** like you. I will happily quote your input too?!
By the way...
Do you sell programmes on matchday? "Progwammes, get your progwammes here".
I can just about imagine how much of a **** you are.
I'd have you know that Progwamme Dave is Portsmouth-born and bred.
There's a reason why he left Portsmouth tho. Just sayin'. :rolleye1:
No but I'm going to make sure I buy the programme if we play Portsmouth again. Portsmouth are just a few players short of a champions league place.
I love how you two keep liking each others posts. So cute.
Keep flirting homos.
I'm going on holiday to Portsmouth this year, you've convinced me. I can't wait to sample the cultural delights of pirates vomiting in the street.
Pompey, like anywhere, has its fair share of sh!t.
It is however a very pleasant city, most of the year round. And in the summer its even better, the southsea common area and Gunwharf are superb.
I hope you meet some of the nicest servicemen Portsmouth has to offer.
You'll be running scared!
Is that bit of information on the tourist board to attract visitors? I'm in.
Taken from the Portsmouth tourist board.
Bloody hell! There is someone sane on this forum!
Sorry, you'll have to excuse the ***** on here. If I said I lived in paradise they'd suddenly become an expert on the place. It's not about Pompey, it's about getting a reaction from Arry. Such sad, lonely lives they lead.
Southsea Common is excellent for a summers day! Literally lived dead opposite it, waking up to the view of the sea and going to bed to the view of the Spinnaker Tower lit up are just a few things I miss about the place.
I dread to think what your internet history consists of.
Keep Googling gay porn, you freak!
What is the obsession with a giant skeleton of a building with a few lights on it? It's as if the Alhambra Palace and Forbidden city were both located within its helix.
No obsession. But it's better than looking outside and having a lamppost as your view.
