I saw this on Twitter last night and thought that was rubbish. Sometimes you see a link to a player and really want it to be true, but there are some you're linked with and you hope there's nothing in it. This firmly falls into the latter. As a squad player, maybe, but then again we have plenty of players for the midfield positions. As a replacement for Doucoure, that sounds like a horrendous idea.
Pozzos do like a random signing but usually young or unknown ! Certainly would not be a Doucoure replacement- Chalobah maybe if they think he isn't up to it but only as a squad player like HB1 says . And we can probably get someone younger with more ability to do that - we have enough issues discipline wise as it is ! He'd be booked more than Holebas .
Didn’t we want him and he decided to go to Cardiff instead. I’m sure he said something about not being able to play for a club like Watford or something like that. Either way the guy is a massive bell and I wouldn’t want him anywhere near us. His footballing ability is limited, would only be a bench player and would probably be used for the last 5mins of every match if we are winning.
The only nagging doubt I have that this rumour might actually have something behind it is our move for Jake Livermore just before the summer deadline.

Exactly. I don't expect us to sign anyone this window and I understand the reasons - we're safe and the January window is a minefield. However, if we bring in Arter (or similar) it is an indication that next summer we will continue the low budget, low grade recruitment of the last 2 windows (delefeou excepted). I'd rather we brought in nobody rather than some Arter/Livermore type nonsense.

The only reason to sign this horrible, cheating git would be to never play him and ensure he didn't soil the game for everyone else for the period of his contract, as mentioned above, the Ndong role. The only benefit of not signing him is that I don't have to share out my booing and can continue to focus it fully upon the racist , homophobe ex-scummer Gray, for he would certainly have caused me difficulties in the equity split of these attentions.
