Surely there wouldn’t be any relegation.

    They’re following the American model.

The latter seems more probable. 17:55 is a 2am kick off here. Even in India (the next big Asian market to be tapped) it would be an 11:30pm ko.

Just when I thought I couldn’t detest Manchester City more than I did. They have about as much to do with the original Man City as MK Dons do with Wimbledon. If my club became a marketing tool for Abu Dhabi I’d find something else to do on a Saturday afternoon. **** them and **** that hypocrite Guardiola. Oh you stand for Catalan independence do you? That’s fine just keep taking the petro dollars from the ****s with a dreadful human rights record. I don’t care if Kevin De Bruyne is really good to watch, I’m rapidly losing interest in the premier league. I’d like it if the bigger clubs ****ed off to a super league to be honest.

Pep is the glossy lipstick on the ugly pig.

For that reason, he too is an ugly pig.

    Hear, hear.

Pep has the personality of a hologram.

Takes dirty money but poses as the messiah for the vacuous teen/Asian markets.

The ESL is such an obvious clonker that I hope they do go & do it. The idea has resurfaced every 5 years for the last 40. Maybe good reasons why it has never happened.

The American model is socialism in action. No relegation, bottom club (sorry, franchise) gets first pick of new signings. Clive would be in heaven. Trump should be told.

A form of socialism for the elite.

Cartel would be equally adequate as a label.

Is that a nod to the Ashley Cole famous quote in his book about being told Arsenal weren't offering quite as much as he was expecting!?

Apprantley we are one of the clubs against this idea but then we do seem to go against the majority a lot when it comes to PL voting .

I do hope that's the case. We know money talks in the Premier league but this is just vulgar.

I presume we are bound if enough PL teams vote for it though.

HB1 posted a Tweet from the Mail to say we were along with Southampton and Fulham plus according to other papers the likes of Leicester, Burnley, Wolves and Huddersfield yet this went through so can only presume the big boys have a greater say/power.
