Encouraging words from Delia Flew on the Wobby just now. It seems the "smiling ****" or whatever isn't always smiling when the cameras are off...

"Speaking to The Offside Rule Exclusives, Deulofeu said: "(Gracia's) a really good coach and also a good person.
"He is really good at managing the team, but also if anything is wrong, he is aggressive, and he knows what we have to do in every moment.
"He is tough in my case. He is always trying to get the best out of me, which is good because if not you will be asleep on the pitch and you go down.
"Sometimes he is tough and aggressive with me, but that's normal and I agree with him."

Glad he’s assured of a decent payout when we sack him in February.

I’d like to think my long campaign of support for Javi has played a small part in this new contract news today.

While others disagreed, it was obvious from day one that he was a terrific appointment and would give us the continuity and consistency many of us craved.

Well done to him for today’s news.

  28. I usually moan about his lack of in-game changes. This time he didn't have any options for a plan B.. because the idiot filled the bench with strikers.

He's a decent enough manager and we could do worse, but a mid table premier side is his high water mark I think.

Nothing but a convincing win, against a poor Liverpool team with no real attacking threat, should see Gracia get his marching orders.

Failure to beat cardiff at home should be enough to see this simpering shitbag sacked. Thankfully there should be just about enough time to save our season.

What's the delay with JG's contract extension. This has been talked about for months?

Can't really see any genuine reason for it to have taken this long.

Maybe the club hierarchy want to keep him on his toes & have decided to wait & see the outcome of the next 4 difficult fixtures before making it official.

There is a balancing act to be had because his share price has been elevated, which could now attract outside interest.

For some reason it seems the number of managerial sackings are down across all leagues, could this be a new trend developing?
