Global Werewolf - Day 5

The trip to the South of Spain was unsuccessful for the mob and they returned home – the remaining evil players could hardly contain their joy.

One such evil player decided to head towards Mecca, but this was no pilgrimage. Their destination was Jeddah. Jeddah had a feeling someone was coming for him. He chained his gate, boarded up his windows and bolted his door shut. He was sitting waiting, trembling with fear. Sadly his defences were no match for the beast who leaped over the gate and charged through the door. ‘You fool, you can’t stop me’ growled the wolf.

At this point, Jeddah accepted his fate and gave himself up to the wolf who feasted on their flesh. As the wolf left, the blood dripped off his chin. The blood was as red as The Red Sea.

Jeddah was good.

The other wolf remained in Europe, this time heading to Poland. An evening near Benidorm followed by a night in Krakow sounded like the perfect plan for this wolf – after all, the seer had been lynched so he was in the mood to party. He had time for a couple of Tyskies before heading towards Wawel Royal Castle, home of Krakow.

Similarly to Jeddah, Krakow was expecting this visit. The Mayor had hours previously taken the life of Elche so felt he deserved his death call. Whilst the wolf was partying, Krakow disposed of his bloodstained Mayoral robe and livery collar – there would be no more Mayors in this game.

The wolf reached the palace and was a little worse for wear after celebrating a bit too hard. Thankfully for him, Krakow was sitting waiting to be killed. The wolf tore into Krakow and devoured his flesh. His blood too was red.

Krakow was good.

The remaining representatives awoke on the 1st of May with a sense of fear. They knew that it was possible the game may end today. Would there be a back-up seer at this stage? Only time would tell...

The voting will close at 5pm today. I will post a few reminders of the time change.

Well, today’s going to be fun...

Thought I’d set my stall out from the start, as I’m in a work conference call as I post this and then have another meeting straight after that which will probably keep me away until around 12. I’ll be about in the afternoon to catch up, but I didn’t want to let things run away completely without having a say myself given how yesterday ended. I figure silence will be seen as guilt too so I’m better off saying something.

While we’re surely and hopefully going to lynch an evil player today, as Istanbul said in the tavern we can’t afford to kill the traitor and leave the two wolves alive overnight. If the traitor is clever and grabs our attention so we lynch him instead it’ll mean evil has as good as won the game.

I’ve tried to work for the best result for team good throughout. Yesterday I was accused of being too quiet but also too accusatory. Hiding and also posting nothing posts. Contradictions everywhere. Truth is I’m new to all this. And the two who led us to kill our seer were the ones responsible for most of the accusations. Their judgement killed them and you should be cautious automatically following where they left off without giving it further thought. Of course, if I have to take one for the team I will.

Morning all, yesterday escalated pretty quickly.

 

We know Venice and Oslo are good. We also know the Seer is dead.

I suspect there won't be a backup seer.

We need to look at voting pattern and behaviour. I have a good idea who the evil 3 are, but we need to eliminate the traitor. They would happily sacrifice themselves at this stage to tip the game to team Evil.

 

Could this be the first time ever, (that I can recall), that we haven't had an evil player viewed, (or tinker)?

 

Athens popping up yesterday straight after the Seers message was posted was also highly unusual. He was seemingly trying to get us to think he was connected?

I can't work out when people voted, which I think is key.

 

I would say today, in the absence of any message, I would vote for Tokyo or Quito. I don't know which is least likely to be the traitor though. Need to look at post history.

Sorry I was meant to say "clear to us Quito is evil but no clue if he's a wolf or a traitor"....

I am starting to believe the former but if people think it's better to lynch Tokyo I can follow that too.

Not sure if I want to look past them yet.

 

On what basis am I evil? You lot all started to lynch Elche quite happily even though it became quite clear he was the Seer.

 

Dont say "you lot" when it wasn't all of us. Also, in the thread it was clear we were trying to halt votes on him as he claimed to be the seer, but you came along to save yourself and voted him instead. If you are good, you take the fall for him, not kill him.

Everybody should re read yesterdays action, if they can because we need to get this right.

If we only get the Traitor tonight we will probably lose, so we must be aware that a traitor is going to be trying to get himself killed.

My three Evils are Nairobi, Quito and Tokyo.

I originally thought Nairobi was the Traitor however Ive seen this morning he is trying to point us towards Tokyo or Quito, which makes me think he is the wolf, probably Beta as teh wolfs message late last night was a very different vernacular that Nairobi uses in his posts.

 

Nairobi, I noticed you only voted for Quito last night when it had become too late to save Elche. Tactically hanging back.

Quito voted for Elche after I had clearly stated that everyone stop voting while we organise a plan. That makes you guilty in my eyes. It was your vote that stopped Team Good forcing a tie.

Tokyo has a 'role' too. It was him who requested a 5pm finish. If he was just a good villager he would have just voted an hour early.

Guys, today we just need to make sure we avoid the traitor. So lets make sure we vote as a block, because if its close, the evils will have enough votes to tactically destroy our vote.

I had been working on the theory that the three evil players were Athens, Quito and Tokyo.

Of them, I had suspected Athens the most of being a traitor, but this message from yesterday

counters that.

It is possible that Athens is a wolf.

I am pretty sure that Tokyo and Quito are two of the evil players, however, it's important to identify the third so we can best guess which is the most likely to be the traitor and avoid them.

Out of Quito and Tokyo, I would say Tokyo has been more traitoresque, Quito more like a wolf.

As far as for where I'm at.

Venice & Oslo are obviously confirmed good, I think Nairobi & Istanbul have been talking too much to be Evil.

If Moscow is evil then he's played a brilliant game because for some reason he's escaped major suspicion. Was there a message clearing him?

My vote will be for Quito, Tokyo or Moscow. I just need to go read through the days and make my mind up. Voting patterns mean nothing to me.

 

Hmmm... I have tried to help team good as much as possible and was desperate for us to lynch Quito yesterday. I know I have not been viewed and I am an unknown, but I think I have shown more 'good' traits than some of the others.

You're right though, I've read through the rest of your posts and you have been trying to help Team Good for the most.

 

Doesn’t look like we have a backup seer then. Made sense to hold on yesterday to see off the wolf but I don’t get the logic in holding on today.

@Istanbul that 5pm point is a ridiculous leap. I’m enjoying the game and it’s getting to the good bit, but it’s also Friday and I thought an earlier finish would make sense. I could just as easily be here til 6.

 

I was getting myself in a muddle at that point, but I think I did lay the 1st or 2nd vote on Quito and then asked people to follow. Unfortunately I did not realise Quito had a vote to use still, which made it all in vain.

 

The way I see it so far, I know I’m good but can’t prove it. I accept a couple of dodgy choices have put me in the spotlight. But then I voted with the two Ronnies yesterday well before it became clear Elche was the seer and that apparently makes me look suspicious too.

I'm not going in for the hyper analysis of posts as in the early rounds almost everyone is guessing. Moscow's playing a shrewd game I think. Not really throwing names around though so can’t him see him as traitor. He still looks on shaky ground to me. Istanbul makes as many flying visits as I do but seems to be accepted as good. Why? Nairobi I’m now pretty sure is good when I think about his approach through this. No idea about Quito - is it just yesterday's vote that attracted attention?

 

How can you not think Quito is evil after that vote yesterday? If he was good he would have voted himself to try and save the seer who had just outed themself. Quito was clearly saving himself which suggests he is evil.

If you are saying I played I shrewd game, he has been even more shrewd.
