The Madness of King Gino... ...in a nice way. Tis a rhetorical question, but if we took the money they'll make out of the equation, from the Pozzo family point of view, what have/do/will they get out of their 'Watford' chapter? Can it really mean anything to them away from a balance sheet? It all seems a bit surreal when my mind tries to compute and compare Bonser v Pozzo, for example, or Petchey v Pozzo. The HAYs (Hungry and Angry Years) supporters v The PAMs (Post-allotment Movement) supporters. Do the Pozzos and the PAMs have the soul of our Club in their hearts? Yours etc. Discombobulated of Sheffield (HAYs)
Tis quite simple really.. The Pozzos are businessmen who had an interest in footie and sold some of their previous busineszz to concentrate more on the business of footie as they became quite good at it. Watford fits their business model and hopefully as the £££'s and €€€'s grow, so will their love of the club, and they will have a vested AND emotional interest to make 'THE PROJECT' a very long term symbiotic relationship. Viva l'Italia! Viva i Pozzos!
Been a few things in my time I was a Tin Pot supporter or one of the TIPs according to my old Arse/Spurs/Chelsea supporting mates. Then I became one of the EGAs as in Elton and Graham's Army in the good ol days. So I suppose I'm a HAY and def not a PAM - but prefer to be called one of the HIPs (Happy in the Premier)
I've given it some thought. I've mulled it over. And mulled it over again. Fanbase-wise, such as you are the future of this wonderful Club. I salute you.
