its all agent talk. they are dirty grotty little bottom feeders determined to fleece football clubs and milk their clients for all they are worth.

He’s been very average since December. Would far rather lose him than Doucoure.

So the player wants to stay according to the link posted by HB1 the other week but now the agent wants him to leave...

Are agents now more greedy than the players themselves!?

The 'Club' is bigger - the team most certainly isn't.

I think agents have always been more greedy than players with the additional obnoxiousness of having none of the talent.

Correct. The reference was to a "club" even bigger than watford.

Really not bothered about either him or Pereyra going. I think this recent run of form without Doucoure shows we will desperately miss him when he goes and will be a far bigger loss to us than Deulofeu or Pereyra. I've come full circle on Doucoure, was pretty calm about him going but do fear we'd miss him badly!

Deulofeu ISN'T as good a player as he think he is. He's desperately inconsistent and absolutely atrocious in front of goal. If we can get north of £25m for him we'll have absolutely mugged off AC Milan!! He can be comfortably replaced at that price!

I say give us Romagnoli and £5m then they can have Delofeu.

If he leaves, I think he would be a loss as we aren't playing him in his natural position and if we lose Pereyra that's a lot of quality lost which we would have to find again.

    Deulofeu Theory:

Javi recognises that Deulofeu's best position is on the right of a front three, as we probably all do.

Javi's preferred formation is the 4-2-2-2, the formation that he has used almost exclusively this season, with much justification as it arguably gets the best out of the squad he has available.

He is reluctant to start Deulofeu in the right attacking midfield role in this system, preferring the physicality of Ken Sema or Will Hughes to compliment the pacey, intelligent but slight Kiko Femenia.

    Switching to 4-3-3 would:

    1. Get the best out of Deulofeu
    2. Possibly get more out of Pereyra
    3. Alleviate some of the burden on Doucoure and Capoue

All well and good, except as anyone of a Watford persuasion will tell you, we don't have a forward who can play in that lone striker role.

So, if that issue is addressed in the summer, and if Deulofeu stays fit and completes a full pre-season (the lack of which is doing him no favours currently) then we could see a different player in 2019/20. Two big ifs, but a tantalising prospect. In my view, selling him in the summer would be premature and detrimental to the squad we building slowly but surely.

There is no doubting the guys ability. The footwork for both the goal at WHU and the shot against the post at CP were world class. We need to work at how we get the best out of him, certainly not sell him.

If we sell him for anything like £30m we are a joke. He's worth well beyond that in the current market.

£40m+ or we should be telling them, and anyone else, to piss off.

£30m is not enough. Unless it is in his contract....

Napoli have just signed James Rodriguez as well who plays in a very similar position.

If a right back like Wan Bissaka is worth £50m then so is a player who will get 15 goals + numerous assists in a full season

Not in the FA cup semi-final. One of the great goals of last season. Technically one of the best players ever to put on a WFC shirt.

I agree absolutely. Don't think they can afford him anyway even at 30 million euros. Different type of player but at least as good as Sarr.

Watford bow down to the mighty Napoli and stand aside for Newcastle. The tone of some of these articles is ridiculous. Agent driven rubbish. The football authorities need to squash these parasites who are leaching money away from the game.
