I like their podcast and often listen to it, but I have to say I've noticed a certain note of self-congratulation creeping into it of late.

Now they're award winning and everything. Is it losing its amateur charm and enthusiasm to be replaced by egotistical posturing personalities?

Perhaps it's just me. Anyone else listen to this?

    I listen.

I think it we have to expect them to mention the award within a fortnight of being given it. I mean, it’s a pretty cool and surprising thing to get. A trophy for Watford!

If they keep on talking about it a month that could be another matter. I’m happy to have them as a Watford podcast.

I’ve been speaking out of my Rookery End for 50 years.

    Nice to have some company.

    I enjoy it.

They give a fairly balanced chatty view of the games and keep good updates on Watford matters with interviews with some ‘back office’ Watford staff from time to time. (Sensory Room, Groundsman, Supporter Liaison Officer Dave Messenger I think I recall but ???)

And remind/reflect on players and games past and plug and feedback on a few things like Hornet Heaven, Rocket Man, 1881 movement, At our Place etc etc.
For an amateur podcast I think it’s good and the award well deserved.

They haven’t struck me as smug.
Must be an age thing Clive.

To my ears, they're not smug. They come across to me as justifiably delighted that their labour of love has been recognised as the best club podcast in the country.

    Definitely not 'egotistical posturing personalities'.

Don't know about you, Clive, but I'm just pleased for them.

Overall the podcast is really good. I wait for it every week. Obviously winning the award was a big deal for them in a way it might not have been for Pele, but there's nothing wrong with that at all. I find their analysis of games really inciteful and well informed. Their analysis of the club and predictions/theories in general can be quite knee jerk and not evidence based and they can get a bit 'good ole boys' but overall a fine contribution to the wfc diaspora. I for one would have a 'from the rookery end' sized hole in my life if they stopped doing it.

Never listened to it. Not a fan of "lads banter".

Imagine they’d rather be seen as insightful than inciteful, however...

Only just started listening to it, but I've enjoyed the 3 or 4 episodes I've put on while driving to work in the morning. In fact, in anybody else can recommend any decent football podcasts, I'd be thankful.

Haven't listened to it as much this season due to a change in my commuter routine but I'm still a fan of it and pleased for them if it's being recognised
