just read on the official website that he believes that when the goals start going in we will be well up the table, because we are keeping cleen sheets. so has aidy installed the faith and do they still believe? who knows.O0
I totally agree with Jay. Just a few goals could change the whole picture for us. The division is nearly as tight as The Championship has been in recent seasons, and a few good results could see us rise quite dramatically. There's still a lot of twists and turns to come this season.
i'm sure we said this 2 months ago? once the goals go flying in..... just a matter of time..... glad to see things have changed!
The thing is though, nothing really has changed. Aside from the top few teams no one is miles away and lots of the mid-table sides are much of a muchness. The people we buy in January will define our season. They have to!
Couldn't go Saturday so can not comment on the performance, but I feel so much more confident than after the Blades game - we haven't capitulated like those around us appeared to have done this. Scores of 5-1 and 4-0 etc.. As Jay says, we've just got to start popping them in.
we've got the hard bit done. its much harder to keep a clean sheet than score a goal, to keep a clean sheet you have to stop 11 people trying to get a ball in the net for 90 minutes. to score a goal you could easily score with a bit of luck from a set piece etc.
Sounds a bit backward really. To score a goal you have to get past 11 people to get the ball in the net too. Both teams have 11 players. If every match was 0-0 we'll end up with 38pts. 40+ is usually required to stay up.
