Forum upgrade approaching fast

I've been exploring the members list and it's very different in there.

Are visitor messages things that other people write to you but everyone can see? Or do you write messages for your visitors to see? I think I might have switched mine off in user CP

Are we supposed to have friends?

I've visited lots of profiles and it logs how many visits there have been and that I was the last visit but it doesn't show who the other visits were from and on my own profile it showed 5 visits but didn't say who they were from, although it is possible they were all from me.

I'm struggling with new facebook too, things are not going well.:dismay:

 

I've only had a quick look myself and uploaded a couple of pictures. I'm relying on the younger members to help me out too

It's interesting seeing what people do with their place. maccatwo has moved in and made himself at home with furniture and posters on the walls. I think I'll stick to the minimalist look.

Are we going to have the reputation function?

 

i can see who visited other profiles but not my own. c'est problem?

 

Have a look now. I just visited and it showed me but it didn't show your other visitors.

Maybe the other visitors aren't logged in so they don't leave a trail?

 

I've had 8 visits, but you're the only name that shows...so does that mean it is only the last user to visit a profile that shows?
I don't like new facebook but these changes aren't so dramatic and look like pretty neat additions

i tried adding myself as a friend but it said i rejected myself. i'm full of self-loathing

 

It's low on my list of priorities right now, but we'll certainly look at it when everything else settles down.

i gotta say, i'm loving tagging stuff. i feel like an e-graffitistai

 

For the reputation ratings look at the FAQs.

I'm not sure if they are a good idea.

What are tags for?

 

its a substitute for posting really. when i hear a phrase on the news i like i put it as a tag on whatever thread i'm on, hence pig in lipstick on this one. natural enhancement came from browsing my junk mail.

 

i tried adding, 'things you wouldn't do with a pet animal in the same room,' but alas it didn't fit

 

I added one but i doubt many will get it.

I e-graffitied the priests-in-training thread.

 

Tags are meant to be about the topic of the thread, so you can then search the forum for how many threads are about a certain topic.
I.E if you did a tag search for the word upgrade you get a 2 threads come up this one and the thread to report bugs as that was to do with the upgrade.
