It's a biggie, hence why I've tried to put it off as long as possible. The new forum software will offer users a whole lot more features and useability than the current stuff does. Unfortunately we'll have to turn off the forum for a long while to do this as it means having to reinstall everything again. The work will be worth it though. So, depending on when the window of opportunity arises, the forum could be turned off for up to 24 hours, (hopefully much less), at any time from tomorrow morning onwards. I'll try to give some notice if possible.
Just so everyone knows, I'm removing a few bits and pieces tonight that will make the site easier to upgrade. Don't be alarmed if we appear to be off the air for a few minutes now and again.
Upgrade is going OK, but there are some issues. The monetary system, Arcade and shoutbox are going to have to be re-installed with later versions. This is going to cause some moans because....
We've done a good job then. Styling of the place will change in time, for now there are some advanced features that you've yet to find.
Its a new search feature. When you start a new Thread you have an option of adding tags to the thread, so anyone can do a search for a specific tag under the search option.
New arcade almost installed. Watch the navbar. Only default games for now though. EDIT: Arcade online but as said, only default games until I get time to add the games again this week. Started 1 tournament so we can test it works OK.
I see it shows what games you are champion of under your avater now, with the new arcade i assume all high scores are gone ?
The high scores under the avatar is a default setting that will soon annoy everyone. I'll dump it soon. All scores are 0.
Interesting, not sure if the groups and friends things will be anything other than a cosmetic touch but the photo album feature could be good for those who take pictures at games etc.
