I know there has been a lot on the news about the windy weather up North but anyway...

A friend of mine drove up to Scotland yesterday afternoon and informed me of at least 3 very serious, 1-3 hour hold ups due to lorrys and vans getting blown over.

The areas were Durham, Chester-Le-Street and around the Angel of the North (I know this spot well and it is notorious for this sort of thing)

So if you are travelling up on the day (or even if your not) I'd take it easy and give yourself plenty of time,

And those on the coach...it's been good knowing you...;)

That is all... Thank you for listening.

Clappy stick sales worldwide would collapse! They'd be an economic meltdown as surplus anoraks and flasks stockpile around the globe!

I do this journey nearly every weekend, and to be honest not seen 1 overturned vehicle yet, not saying that it doesn't happen. You can definatly feel the sidewinds at the places mentioned so be carefull.

The journey should take about 4 to 4 and half hours, I have to drive to Luton every weekend and that takes me on average 4 hours but this is travelling in the evening, I leave Newcastle at 6.

I noticed on Sky earlier they were talking about loads of roads closed in Birdyland.

if that weather moves down a bit it won't be pleasant.
