Ironically, virtually no American, save the tiny segment of the population in the States that follows soccer and likes to see kids fight in movies, has actually seen it.

Pete is more known here due to his role in Sons of Anarchy.

I really haven't, save an ep here or there, but it is well acted. I will probably catch up to it sooner or later on netflix.

Good lad. It's a top show but definitely one that you cannot just watch a random episode and start from there.

Exactly. I don't mind keeping a few shows like that on reserve for later...

    Shnug bugbaoglle.

This is a film in Esperanto. Plot involves a Finnish drunk taking the ride to the Finland station where he get's involved in a plot to smuggle ammunition to the White forces advancing on red Petrograd.

He however is betrayed by a woman he has fallen in love with a former member of the minor nobility who desperate to save herself informs the Bolshy police.

He is caught and sent to prison in St.Peter and Paul fortress where he is recognised and manages to communicate in Esperanto with a Russo-Finn guard and manages to escape back across the border.

    :naughty:

I felt dirty afterwards. Kind of like really good sex with a chubby girl, who you would be embarrassed to show your mates.

He plays the character, it definitely isn't him that actually sings the song.

Saw 'The Town' at the cinema last night. Now I know Ben Affleck is certainly not everyone's cup of tea but I really enjoyed it, was a little bit like Heat with a splash of Usual Suspects in it. Pete Postalthwaite pulled out a very similar performance to that film in playing a dodgy Boston crime boss who pushed Affleck and his gang into a series of robberies, including the final one of robbing Fenway Park. Based on Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan, which is also a really good book I read a few years ago.

The other half did not rave as much over it as the female characters were weak in her view but I haven't seen as good a film this year to be honest.
