I’m not sure he will be cheap as many of those same reports are saying ‘our offer’ is nowhere near what they’d want for him.
A few twitter accounts are claiming we've gone as far as meeting his agent to discuss the move - but CSKA want £13m+. So I'd say our opening (supposed) offer of €5m wouldn't even warrant them turning the fax machine on.
I'm sure we have met his agent. This is where Watford are stealing a march on their rivals. We're prepared to do the dirty work in places like South America and Russia. Notorious for doing things a little differently. You have to be a confident set-up to be prepared to swim in these murky waters. I think other clubs will be prepared for Watford to make the move, and if they turn out to be good players, they'll come in with a bigger bid in order to sign them, as per Richarlison. Watford took all the risk, had to arrange the work permit and prepare the path to bring him from Brazil to England, but earned the reward at the end of it.

Dobro pozhalovat' v Watford Fedor. It's difficult to prise players away from the RPL given the salaries some are on. Golovin is the sole player to have moved this summer to Monaco who have a Russian owner while Cheryshev has grown up in Spain and plays for Villareal. We would have to pay a pretty penny to get him. However he and Stuparevic would get on well together. Brothers in arms.

Sounds like it would be difficult trying to decipher who his actual agent is, whilst the hangers-on all try and claim their pound of flesh from any deal. Either way, 5 million euros sounds well off.
He scored a good goal last night against (a weakened) Real Madrid at the Bernabeu as CSKA won 3-0. However, CSKA still finished bottom of the group so haven't even progressed to the Europa League - I'm not sure how much of an upgrade he'd be, and he's still pretty young, but he certainly seems a feasible option now.
We should not be even considering strikers who play first team football for teams that don't even reach the group stages of the champs league or UEFA cup. We are no longer tinpot.
