FA Cup Upsets Game – Round Four One-off Weekend Game Here’s a fun competition, and it’s a one-off game, so make a prediction and then sit back and enjoy! It’s a game orientated to your forum, but it’s a game orientated to a few special friendly forums, namely: Reading - Royals Rendezvous Blackpool - Back Henry Street Peterborough – The Posh Forum Sunderland – Black Cat Chat Newcastle – Toon Forum Watford – WFC Forums WBA – Baggies Zone Leeds – LUFC Talk Liverpool – Talk the Reds Bournemouth - CourtOffside How do I play, you’ll ask?! Well, have a look at the teams on the FA Cup Round FOUR programme below - I’d like to invite you to call for just FOUR matches where you see a possible upset on the cards! By upset, it must obviously be a lower league side winning (or at least drawing) against a higher league side. You haven't got to give any score, simply guess the match of the successful 'smaller clubs' or ‘minnow’ teams! If you get it wrong doesn’t matter at all, you don’t get awarded points for that particular game or games – and that will surely apply to all of us. So … how do you get points? If in your selected games a lower league side does indeed win you have 3 points. If the lower league side force a replay then it is 1 point (note - doesn’t matter if they later lose the replay). But ... bonus - if you choose an real ‘upset’ (win/draw) – a team from a league TWO tiers OR MORE lower their opponents then those points are DOUBLED. To help you, use the asterisks by the games list to make an easy-peasy selection: one asterisk (*) = one tier difference / two asterisks (**) = two or more tier differences / Meanwhile “ --- ” on the list of matches means this prediction is not valid, don’t include these options as it’s no cup upset if teams are from the same tier league! This is the real betting man's stuff - the more you risk with tier difference the more points you get, but there again, an upset is much less likely!! So you need to weigh things up!! + NEW! Postponed or Abandoned? In this unlikely event the game is void, but you are awarded one point for the inconvenience! great start lads .. remember it's a one-off... doesn't accumulate at all from the last round And advanced nrews - from the 5th round it'll be an exact score thing (I'll explain it in due course but will also be fun) as there simply aren't enough surprises! At end of season I could do a mini-review of each round, a sort of 'Hall of Fame' !!
* Reading v Walsall (potentially a upset here in my book too) I really considered it ... but could not bring myself to do it at the end!!

Been a terrible game this time around, hardly any surprises. Still waiting for tomorrow so don't get excited anyone, but at this minute I believe bristleposh from the Posh Forum to be the only candidate from the whole country who correctly guessed both upsets!
Wotta let down! We’ve never had such a boring Upsets games in the several seasons doing this on and off. Never have I known so few upsets! Not even draws, well just one. Only two games punctuated – they were: * Shrewsbury v Sheffield Wednesday*** THREE POINTS ** West Bromwich v Peterborough*** TWO POINTS Well done Shrewsbury and Peterborough … It only leaves me with the task of showing who actually scored something, most were at ‘0’ I’m afraid: Overall winner was bristleposh from The Posh forum, the only person who predicted both upsets so finished on FIVE points! These following people were the only people who scored SOMETHING on your forum (alphabetical order on same points) - well done these lads and lasses: THREE POINTS jon_e_lee Legskeattch Simmos TWO POINTS Alban Hornet Diamond miked2006 Otter No-one else punctuated! For the 5th Round a rather different format is used; given that upsets are becoming increasingly unlikely we are going to go for an exact score prediction of FOUR matches of your choice – more of that a week to ten days before the event! Enjoy your footie meanwhile and keep a smile!!
