Anyone know if there's a family area designated? Considering taking the child for the first time but whole of Vicarage Road end is away fans.

 

Don’t think so. I’m taking my two for the first time - I went for SEJ near the tunnel area in the end. Thought there might be a bit more going on there if the game is dull.

 

I see from the Tranmere fans forum that they have sold 2,200 tickets and a further 800 tickets are to be made available to them.
Should be a good atmosphere, and good for them for bringing so many.
They seem a decent bunch, actually I've had a chat with a few of their fans as I normally stay at New Brighton (Wallasey), when we play Liverpool or Everton.
Hope they have a good day out, well not too good of course.

Googled that and had a look.
It's a different place today, cant believe how much litter in the pics.
Not nearly as busy as was in those days and like a few other seaside places, has been revamped, not my first choice for a UK holiday, but still a nice place to stay when we play on Merseyside. I normally stay at the Travelodge.

 

I was in the 'Pool from '87-'92 and New Brighton was a pretty grim place then. I would have used the Lido (if I had known about it) but the first I heard about was when it was wrecked by a storm in '90...

 

Will Mike Dean be in the crowd for them?

 

Question is, if I take my son to this do I get him: the home top or goalie's smock to compliment my away top?

 

Don't know of any lido.
I assume it must have been what is now known as marine lake.
If interested, have a look on Google maps on satellite view.

 

Hope he gets chucked out and is he standing on a box?

 

He has two assistants with him at all times.

 

And a fourth assistant and someone videoing every action to back up what he says.
