Do you think he might ring in sick that day ?
I reckon he might even cancel a concert if he has to.
He does, Copenhagen according to the Totally Football Show podcast
I'm guessing the supporters of most other teams apart from Wolves (or at least Wolves supporters on Molineux Mix, most of whom seem to want us to be pulverised by City!).
As a slight aside, I perused a number of other clubs' forums after Sunday, to see what they made of the match as it unfolded. And guess which side's fans were the most complimentary and pleased for us - and Deeney. Yup, Leicester fans. Fair play.
Either that or Filbert is the Lesta Moog, dominating their site with his pro Hornet propaganda.
He won’t. He didn’t in ‘99 and he played an active role in the club then.
I think if the game kicked off at 3pm like the good old days then he may have commandeered a private jet for the day. But a 5pm K/O with potential (yet unlikely) extra time rules that out.
Video link likely.
What was he THINKING?!
Oh for the closeness of extra time....
You've just made me remember the chat GT and Elton had in 1999 via video after the match. Wonderful stuff. I can also remember the song they played over the highlights at the end of program. I will paypal 50p to anyone who gets it right.
Sex pistols "God save the queen" ?
Maybe it's just me, I hate the way they edit these highlights so the commentary is faster than the video.
As light travels much faster than sound this can be corrected if you watch it from about 300 metres away from your device.
Yellow by Coldpl*y?
In late 1983, Elton was planning a European Tour for 1984. Before the third round draw was even made, GT advised Elton keep Cup final day free, which he did. Talk about foresight...
That year, Elton did 143 dates. In May, he had gigs on almost every day, but kept May 19 clear. On the days either side of the cup final, he played in Germany.
Surely the personal telephone call commentary from his man at the ground.
Maybe Javi advised the same & Elton simply ignored him.
Maybe he has Gracia & Foster both down as duds.
You don't win anything with kids.
The League Managers Association’s five-man panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle and Dave Bassett, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to Watford for their 3-2 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday 7th April 2019.
Surely it's the video that is in slo-mo? Of course they could sloooow doooown Jon Marks...
There will be a 'like' from the renamed ILB, unless she concludes that the vote was 3-1.
I’d like to think they meet up weekly in The Crown and Anchor and discuss this and all look down their noses at Bassett. But in reality it’s just a lazy text into a random number at LG isn’t it?
Funny that it's a 5 man panel with 4 men on it!
Average age 101.
What about the yoof?
Savage? Jenas? Scott?
Ubiquitous these days.
Hey Elton if you are not coming to the game please can I have your ticket allocation
He hasn't purchased enough games through his fan ID so doesn't meet the criteria. Unless he's a season ticket holder in his own stand who only shows up for the big games (forgive me Elton)
I’m not Elton.
One thing that was appalling on Sunday was just how many people were strolling around in half/half scarves.
I can’t stop you buying a Cup Final ticket for your pal who hasn’t been in 5 years. But I can implore you not to let him buy one of those.
Love to know what bonus the club will pay the players for a win in the final? Maybe these financials are already pre determined in the players existing contracts when they sign?
Or perhaps Gino will just buy in some Pizzas?
Do I detect a soupcon of self-interest here? Would 'old' be any age as long as it's older than you?
I couldn't believe it!
However, I have thought that should we win the final maybe I would buy one on the way out and keep it as a momento in my secret vault!
Ps True story, I discovered to my shock that my brother was (and still is) a City fan in 1975.
He does not go to games these days.
On May 18 we may well be the best supported team in the world.
Just ponder that for a moment.
Elton doesn’t sit in his own stand.
He looks at it.
Watford until late 1980s, then United, then City from 2013.
Third ‘n third ‘n third scarfer.
I’ve never bought one myself but I’ve always thought they’d actually be good things to buy after a game and result like Sunday. Having a reminder of the day embossed in scarf form isn’t the worst trophy you could have.
