They've essentially doubled the price for the final, that's disgusting.

They should implement a 'first refusal on your semi-final seat' system. I may or may not be slightly paranoid that it's now my lucky seat and we'll lose if I'm in a different one...

Just so long as it finishes before Eurovision starts. We have to get our priorities right.

Insane pricing. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't offer concessions.

I was just thinking about this myself, I'm going to be skint. It'd be nice if they delayed ST renewals a bit to give us a chance!

There were concessions last year of -£25 for Cat 1/2 and -£10 for Cat 3/4. Prices were fixed then by the FA so I'd expect the same this time.

lets hope the comment at the bottom (Concessions will apply and will be determined by each club.) are larger than the predicted £20 for Cat 1/2 and £10 for Cat 3/4 - need to subside us for the trauma we all received when purchasing tickets for the Semi :)

I think they may do that but I think you should realise that most if not all did buy for other fan id's - I did.

My problem was the system was so slow (it threw me out a few times) that it allowed me to assign to another adult but wouldn't let me assign an over 65.

Then maybe that's the problem I had as I was trying to assign an over 65 to my wife's ID...

That’s priced me out of going. Those prices are ridiculous I get the importance of the game but think of the supporters you greedy bastards. It’s not just the ticket, there’s travel, drink you are looking at £300 plus for the day. Add to that season ticket renewals as well. I’m gutted but I know that if I don’t go I’ll have a front row seat at the pub to watch and get tanked up

Scandalous pricing. But it’s the adage, that they can charge what they like knowing full well it well sell out.

We don’t have to be happy about as they know we will buy them. But a realisation that the game is just so expensive to watch these days really has to kick in at some points

Football was built around the common man/woman going, then getting their kids and friends involved. Yet these people are being priced out.

But £145 divided over 90 mins is over £1.60 a minute. There’s no other form of entertainment that costs that much - not one where you keep your clothes on anyway.

******* hell, imagine paying £145 to see us get thumped 4-0.

‘Determined by each club’ just means they’re asked to do it how they normally do it. So for Watford it’s O65, U16 and Student. City might have different categories.

There's a decent case for those two claims.
Sheer pace beat him for the penalty, he just couldn't adjust in time. (Future penalty takers please note - never mind the tricksy ones, hit them hard).
The winner wasn't really in the corner, but, although he took a controlling touch, Delefeu shot slightly early and merely steered it across Ruddy, catching him slightly unready. Tempting to think he got away with that a bit.

I agree with your basic sentiments but, rather than dividing the ticket price by 90 minutes, I’m going to divide mine by 35 years.

The simple solution to that is to go to the Green Man before the game. If you get there less (fewer) than 2 hours before kick off, you won't be able to get anywhere near the bar, so you won't have to spend a penny*.

(*Which is just as well, given the state of the chemical toilets)

It’s worth noting that earlier in the season when we played Liverpool at home the away fans unveiled a banner about the greed in football and how ordinary fans were being priced out. The general reaction from the Watford fans around me in the Rookery was to scoff and sing ‘What the ******* hell is that’ before singing the usual c**ty songs about Liverpool slums and signing on.

The ticket prices are absolutely disgusting but moaning about it a bit on social media and then mocking the next time that people actually try to do something about it because they support a different team to you means that you are complicit. Until football fans lose these sort of attitudes, put aside regressive tribalism and come together to stand up against s**t like this things are only going to keep getting worse.

A person who has dealings with Wembley corporate. They said for the final the team nearest to London always gets the same end. I'm checking it out now but it's difficult to verify.

She and her husband have eight to buy!
They also buy the STs for all eight.
She's having a lie down at the moment, probably until May!

Oh yes.....the mythical 44,000 fans who were going to hoover up all the remaining SF tickets as soon as they went on sale to that category....

For me it's ST +1, as long as the +1 had a fan ID on 1 August 2018. That would probably shift about 20,000 tickets, leaving plenty for others. At the end of the day we probably sold 28,000 easily for the SF, but the last few thousand were either unsold or distributed by the club. If you didn't attend the SF why would you expect to get a ticket for the final? (in fact if we have the same end let's just offer everyone the same seat again :D)

The advantage of ST+1 is that it removes a lot of the anxiety of knowing when to buy your tickets to keep friends and families together if they are in different categories. I think the ticket selling plan (not the process!) contributed to a far better atmosphere than 2013 and 2016.

One other question - are we re-using the flags?
