When is their replay?
Couldn't ask for anything more, got to love a Friday night game! QPR please as it looks like the last train from Portsmouth is around 1030.
"Put a note in the diary for today. It just said b****r".
Ah, but the real issue is.....Is it down the motorway or up the motorway?
Depends whether you're going dahn sahf or oop north. Portsmouth fans can only ever go up the motorway to London and down it on the way home. We can go up and down the same motorway away from Watford, for example to Leicester or London respectively. Even if you're on the M25 you go down or up depending on your starting point, and you can even go around it. But for East-West motorways like the M4, it's always down on the way there and up on the way back. You can also take the M4 across to Bristol. Simple, really
Procrastination has set in early today....
Not sure that up and down is quite the right term:
Generally, on railway lines in this country, the "UP" line is the one heading for London (or a major location) and vice versa.
So they play tonight, are you an armchair Pompey or Hoops fan tonight for one night only?
Or are you in the camp of don't really care.
Portsmouth are the weaker team, so them.
I see QPR have one J Lumley between the sticks.
If she reprises her AbFab role, it could be a cricket score.
In the mixer every time.
QPR please. Nice and local
So who will be our penalty takers in the next round then?
I wouldn’t put it past Benteke to snatch the ball even if not designated.
QPR just gone 2 up so looks like a trip to West London on the cards .
Meanwhile Newport are going to get the prize of Man C at home .
QPR 2-0 up from their first 2 attempts on target-first time into 5th round for 22 years if they hold on for another 12 minutes
Really taken this to heart have the fans-13,000 there including 3,000 pompey
What's our allocation going to be? 3000?
Pretty glad of it to be fair. With the prospect of a quarter final to play for, I think Portsmouth would have been far more up for it that QPR will be on home turf.
For all his shortcomings, McClaren likes his sides to play football. When realistically, it’s FA Cup and we’ll play a largely second string team - any room to allow us to play will be welcome. Although with Wilmot’s loan and the rumours we were willing to let Chalobah go out too, I wonder if we will have a more ‘First Choice team’ approach to the game.
Will be nice to play our real local derby. Hope our boys take it as seriously as I think they will. Just happy we have avoided Newport to be honest.
Not sure - Pompey are going for promotion and on an iffy run...
Don't think QPR will be be taking it lightly.
Doubt their fans will let them!
Tickets dirt cheap. £10 adults. £3 for old'uns and kids.
Calling it now: out on penalties.
In fact double - o.
As long as Lee ******* Cook doesn't score against us then I'll be fine.
Quite a few Python sketches were filmed near the QPR ground (owing to its proximity to BBC HQ).
Climbing the North Face of the Uxbridge Road is one such.
For any traveling fans who arrive half an hour early, a re-enactment could be an option.
Gray to stick his into Westfield?
I shall attempt this,as a snake.
To risk puncturing The Man of Mystery persona, I’ve taken the wife to see Sri Lanka.
A civilised post breakfast post.
But will be back in the saddle for 3pm Saturday. Have been practising our booing. Will practise hissing tonight.
There has never been any room to play at Loftus Road - ****** little ground.
Danish singer best known for her 1994 hit Saturday Night.
Ah yes, I do remember now.
Upper tier-i think holds 1,800- almost sold out-only single tickets left
I went on at 10.25 as Cat A allowed at 10 am and we are in lower tier
Stop press-club twitter now saying only restricted view left (might apply to almost all the away end )
Was going to say, most of that dump is restricted view in one way or another. Doubt this will get to Cat B.
