    Job done by 10.15am.

Not clear whether the seats are in the same postal code as the pitch.

Didn't experience it yesterday due to work commitments and not having time to wait for hours - but have heard the stories.

But it took me 12 minutes today to get my tickets. So either there are far less (fewer) fans trying this morning or Ticketmaster have sorted their servers out.

In by just after 10. Tickets bought by 20 past - and that was after a bit of umming and erring. Gone for lower tier but really there's very little choice left there now. Top tier first 8-10 rows almost all gone too.

Official statement over the ticket fiasco
    https://www.watfordfc.com/club/ticketmaster-statement-wembley-semi-final

Watford FC shares the frustration of many thousands of its valued season ticket holders with regards to the difficulties experienced throughout today in purchasing tickets for the forthcoming Emirates FA Cup semi-final.

The Hornets’ ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, has issued the following statement: “Ticketmaster sincerely apologises for the issues experienced by Watford FC fans when trying to buy tickets today.

“While fans can buy tickets, there has been a problem with the website that has made the process slower than usual. This falls below the standards we expect and we’re doing everything we can to get the issue fixed as quickly as possible.”

The Hornets’ Ticket Office has worked tirelessly in recent times to provide a professional and efficient service, and resolves to continue to do so in order that all Watford supporters are in a position to look forward to their visit to Wembley Stadium on April 7.

Season ticket holders are encouraged to continue to attempt purchases, with online and telephone queues expected to ease as time progresses.

A friend got his ticket for the Man City semi final yesterday. That was through the club site and didn’t involve Ticketmaster. On sale at 1000 bought by 1009. No booking fees either. I’ve seen the Brighton details and they have no booking fees but are charging postage as they are using a mailing company to deal with volume of posting.

Sounds like we have just been unlucky with club choosing to contract with Ticketmaster.

Don't know how you managed that, absolute nightmare getting one this morning. Got the ticket page at about 9:50 and picked one on the Interactive Seating Map, but then the site timed out and as I didn't receive an email confirmation, I presumed that my purchase was unsuccessful. Then I spent the next hour and half trying numerous seats round the goal in vain, ringing the WFC ticket office to be referred to Ticketmaster, only to be told their services weren't available until after 11:00. Only after several attempts and much patience on my part (never a virtue of mine) getting through to Ticketmaster, with either a seemingly never-ending classical music loop (at least it was Mozart and not Justin Bieber!) or an engaged tone, was I reassured that I'd got my ticket after all. The biggest aggro I've suffered getting a match ticket, and that includes the problems I encountered getting a last-minute one for the 2015 Championship title decider...

Actually, all joking to one side, and I’m not sure this presents me as some sort of snowflake, but in the current climate is it all that clever for a local publication to go out of its way to rile up rival fans?

Sure, a majority probably not even know this exists but is this an online version of an actual Birmingham paper?

One thing I clearly got wrong this time around is my prediction we wouldn't sell out. A lot of season ticket holders must have taken up the option of a 2nd ticket, because as it stands I'll be surprised if there's many left at all for sale on Monday when the next category get their go.

Surely we've got all the blocks from 543 to 552 to release though?

I think that's most likely the case, it seems very unlikely that all seats across 543-552 have all sold out and that not a single seat is left.

Actually went more smoothly than I dared hope after reading about people's experiences yesterday. My sister managed to get two tickets for us by 10.20am. Couldn't get anything in Blocks 128 - 139, which was our first choice, but got two together in Block 529 which is still Category 2 so will hopefully be in the same County as the pitch.

Looking back to the 70s when everybody loved the FA Cup, can anyone confirm my memory of watching Finals on TV when the stadium remained full to watch the presentation and lap of honour of the winners? These days half of it empties immediately. Or is my recollection of the past rose-tinted?

Yes did think they'd be lower tier.. and not such a big area.

138 is family block. As we found out this morning when we tried to get one more near our 6 from yesterday.

You can't buy a single adult ticket in there. About the only thing tickmaster had got right....

2013 and 2016 I got offered some free tickets in Club Wembley, through adidas. Awful atmosphere and mostly full of Palace fans and we lost...did get free drinks though.

..this year, I'm with the soiled plebs, in the £30 seats. #shame

TM doing everything they can to get it fixed does not include refunding all the phone call money at premium rates only to be "mysteriously" cut off after 10-15 minutes. My phone bill from yesterday was over 30 quid and my partners bill was was 42 quid and neither of us spoke to anyone at TM all day. Borderline criminal.

Man City and Wolves selling their tickets direct so, no, it's not an FA thing

  25. Stevohorn

    Stevohorn Watching Grass Grow

Yep.. 70's and well into the 80's everyone stayed behind to watch the trophy presentation and the lap of honour.. from both sides.
Look here at 7.50 and you can see the Watford end packed behind Howard Kendall..

Ive always maintained there was more mutual respect between football in that era than there is today. People dont believe it because it was the hooligan era but maybe that was why.. a certain siege mentality drew you together. In the post Prem era supporters have definitely become more own club focused.

Can anyone ease my worrying please? Me and 4 others are waiting until monday to get a ticket. Three of us could get ours now, but two cant so we are waiting.

Will there be tickets left? As we are hearing lots of people saying there are not many left at all.

  32. Burnsy

    Burnsy First Team

There is quarter of the top tier that is greyed out on our side of the ground and has not been up for sale at any point.

A very easy guess is that section is being held back until Monday. There’s not many left of what has been put on sale. But there’s a whole section not been put on sale effectively.

I think I read they've got the back rows. I don't know how many but presumably a fair few.

It all depends whether the blocks mentioned above by @brumhorn are yet to be released or not. There are loads and loads of people in Category C for home games (I think it's 30,000+) so you'll have to take that into account. I'd suggest whichever you can buy now logs in, looks at the plan and makes a judgement call. At least with a 3/2 split none of you would be billy no mates if you're in different sections.

    Theres 44k in cat c.

But thats EVERYONE who has bought a ticket ever since they started recording. Prob 1/3 of these are considering maybe going. Some of these will have had tickets bought by sth's as the +1 there were 27k max sold before Monday, so there is at least 6k available on Mon, prob 3k who can't make it at least from sth, cat A and cat B. Plus we didnt quite sell out last time. Im not worried at all in Cat C.
