I thought the original plan was to show it on the telly, iplayer and red button is a bit of a cop out really, especially when on the main channels they will be showing

    BBC 1
Escape to the Country S18 Ep 7 a repeat from September 2016
    & Garden Rescue S4 Ep 11 a repeat from May 2019

    BBC 2
World Snooker Crucible Classics - a rehash of the 1982 final.

OK fair dos, the snooker is in place of the World snooker championships but why go to all the pomp and ceremony to have a public vote to which match to show and then fob us off with it not being on proper telly? Surely in this day and age all matches should be available to stream on demand at any time.

It would have been on proper telly if one of the big clubs had won. Man U > Liverpool > 28 year old golf tournament > Watford.

Tbf it was always going to be on Iplayer and red Button.

Bit like England v Germany last Sunday was.

Still a nice surprise we won the competition with all those traditional top teams in the mix. Neutrals must have voted for us which is nice of them.

Must admit I’ve been trying to cheer myself up watching the SF highlights, post match celebrations, interviews and (especially) the Wolves fans bloggers video highlights - heh heh heh !!

That deulofeu goal still amazes me to this day.

How did he do that? From standing still. Like a sort of snooker shot with loads of side on it.

I can't think when I've seen a similar goal done like that. Will forever be one of my all time favourites.

That and the look on that chubby lad's face with his wolf mask on upside down.

Please, BBC, don't follow up with the final. There must be a sensational Yeovil match you could show.

Provided it isn't the match where Yeovil put the final nail in Zola's tenure.

Also on Saturday Football Focus BBC is showing the best filmed efforts recreating ‘that’ Deulofeu goal in your own back yard.
Expect a few forum members efforts to feature ..

Hope we win this one, imagine getting to a cup final, biggest game the majority of our players will ever have in their careers. Ticket prices will be ridiculously high, probably 100 quid plus in places, will be worth every penmy though, even if we get City you'd expect our players to give them a challenge and do whatever is needed to make sure that happens.

P.s get some flag waving practice in now, I'm sure it'll come in use.

They should have voted then !

One says the Villa beating Liverpool would have been better - yet they hate Villa.

Guy has a point about the final though - probably got that lined up !

Somewhat deluded. It's mildly irritating to lose the final the way we did, but they genuinely believe they had a good chance of winning the final. City may not have hit 6, but they would have battered them.

Could they not do world cup classics or semi final re-runs more often when we're not in lockdown? Enjoying flashbacks to classic world cup games.

Would fill up space on the Red Button - be more popular than some of the stuff that is on there.

I suppose Wolves did do the double this season against City but the latter were a different team last season.

In fairness they have a point about their own form against City. I'm certain they would have had a better stab at it than we did!

I'll be amazed if anybody has watched the Final again. I recorded it and deleted it the moment I got home and I will never watch it again

Can't believe this sort of attitude. You missed out on the most beautiful act of waving the flag ever seen in a cup final.

And also we waved out little yellow defiant flags in the second half too.

I'd forgotten about that. Would you mind posting a link to all the flag waving at the end as I was back in the pub crying in to my pint when that happened

Think we will come out of the blocks fast and dominate the game, going 2-0 up early in the second half and then see the game out with ease. Mundane game.....

Very nervous about this. If we play well we can go toe to toe with Wolves but we must start well.

    Prediction

    Watford 2-3 Wolves (aet)
    Deulofeu (23, 60), Deeney missed pen (90+6); Jimenez (78, 90+3, 120+1)

I dislike Wolves as much as the next Watford fan but they've beaten City twice this season. I bet they wouldn't have been humiliated like us.
