Wow what a fantastic set of results. Even a draw Monday would put us 8th. It really is in our hands now. Get anything monday and beat Southampton in our game in hand then jts ours to lose.

Still been a brilliant season regardlesz.

Injury update - 3 are out for Monday

Holebas - hamstring (picked up at Wembley)
    Quina - shoulder (in training)
    Cleverley - ongoing calf strain

Is it crazy that I’m honestly expecting us to beat Arsenal?

Whatever happens for the rest of the season it has been a fantastic year and I’ve never been prouder of the club in my 30 years supporting them.

Maybe Chalobah will even manage to make it into the squad...

Did anybody see him celebrating on the pitch at Wembley???

If Arsenal were to win the Europa, that means they qualify for CL next season. If they finished fifth, does that in any way affect our chances of getting a Europa place for 7th?

Presumably not, because it will just mean that whoever's finished 4th now gets bumped into EL instead of CL right?

Depends on who has the better goal difference and claim that extra point up for grabs.

  9. UEA_Hornet

    UEA_Hornet First Team Captain

Not quite. It just means Arsenal would have a CL spot and England would lose the league EL spot. So the split would be 5/2 rather than 4/3.

So basically, what with playing City in the FA Cup final, 7th will 100% guarantee us Europa League, as will winning the cup?

  11. UEA_Hornet

    UEA_Hornet First Team Captain

Yes. If we finish 7th we’re guaranteed to be in the Europa League. The FA Cup Final will decide if we’re straight through to the group stage or have to join the qualifiers in July.

If we finish 7th and win the cup, can we enter 2 teams ?

  13. Isn't it a conflict of interest having someone so obviously biased towards one team commentating on them?

No one wants to hear his excited spit-globuled mucasings on the game except Liverpool fans, yet we are all forced to endure it.

And we'll then get an hour tomorrow night of him analysing this game instead of ours.

Literally no point tuning in until KO tomorrow night.

Well we are Udinese B so maybe it reverts to them for Euro cups.

At least Zee and Okaka should get a game in Europe and Wilmott an unused sub appearance on the bench.

Might as well bring back Vydra too once his loan finishes and send him to the A team.

Quite baffling that numerous bods are sacked for saying idiotic and offensive things yet this specimen can spit in someone’s face on camera and yet Sky still have him as a first line pundit.

Holebas' poor hamstring might well cost us some results. He's close on POTS and we may miss him. Let's hope it's not long-lasting; hamstring probs often are.
Masina is not a disaster but he's got some big boots to fill.

  21. I don't intend to. Due to the annoying nature of this game being shifted to a bloody weeknight, instead of going to the game I'll be going for a refreshing run across the local Yorkshire fields and tune in at 8pm on the dot.

It will unbearable if our first team was knocked out by our second string. Would be hard for Javier to keep the family spirit going

Pretty screwed if one of Capoue or Doucoure get injured!

Quina, Cleverley, Chalobah all out, Wilmot away on loan. Hughes would have to be pulled into the middle.

Actually I think Hughes plays better in the middle than out wide, but not so sure in a DMF role?

The comparison of *zil to a cuddly toy aside, I don’t believe we have made mention of the @rsenal team.

A sign of how far we have come?

Results were very kind to us over the weekend, a draw would be a very good result. Will be interesting to see where the lads are mentally after last weekend.

It's not going to be as easy as Everton had it. Koscielny is a top class centre back and makes the whole defence a better unit.

More importantly, if we win, the gap to 6th spot will be down to 14 points with 5 games still to go. Doable.

Cannot stomach the guy. He’s just a thug in suits clothing. He makes a lot of games completely unwatchable and how they can have him commentating on Liverpool games is anyone’s guess.

Still, he’s just one of a long list of unbearable numpties. He’s not even close to being as annoying as Chris “I’ll say anything to wind people up” Sutton and pretty much the whole of TalkSport outside Hawksbie and Jacobs.

TBF I can't bear listening to any of the TV/radio experts as they add nothing to the experience and take away quite a lot. The only 2 I can bear listening to are Gary Neville and Jamie Rednapp.
