Pozzo, Duxbury and Gracia need to look at the performance and ask questions about heart and desire of the current squad . We must offload several players and soon.[/QUOTE]

Is this a serious comment? By all means question the quality in parts of our squad but have you actually been watching this season ? How we fought back at Wembley to beat wolves or spurs, how we have rarely looked beaten ( with the exception of the last few weeks of the season admittedly ) . I’ve rarely seen a Watford side with more heart and desire

Fair points. Sadly there are those that describe a different opinion as belittling. Quite laughable really. But expected. Everyone is a little raw.

Mmm. I don't know. I'm not the proponent of a good day out like others. I like to see us win rather than be humiliated. Perhaps it's just a generational thing.

Well, the 11 matches were mostly not under Javi.

Presumably these would need to be full-backs who can defend. Which would be...….?

I hope you are not being negative about those who are being negative because two negatives make a positive, don't they? And then where would we be?
    Or something.

I'd have settled for a battling defeat. Showing our mettle. Grabbing a goal and making it hard for them.

I just watched the highlights and at least 3 of their goals are almost unchallenged. ******* disgraceful that professional footballers of whatever pedigree, in an fa cup final just stop bothering to do their jobs after 45 minutes.

Mr HH spent the day with two dogs and two kids. He walked the dogs, cooked a roast for the kids who then subjected him to watching Eurovision. So, in short, yes!

    Good question.

I wouldn’t have said your age is particularly apparent from your posts.

No obvious discomfort with metric units.

No harping on about Skilly Williams.

And, on the other hand, no unhealthy familiarity with drill music.

    Awaiting developments.

Our legendary keeper, Skilly Williams, joined as a striker.

What is Javi plotting for Wilmot?

The new Harry when Gareth’s knees go?

Should we also apply that to the supporters who did a runner before the end? (When did you leave, by the way?).

I deliberately didn’t post anything lengthy in the heat of the moment either yesterday or this morning, but I’m absolutely gutted.

Yes, Manchester City are probably the best team of this generation, and were always likely to win, but it is the manner of defeat I take issue with.

We barely laid a glove on them, and I think yesterday has made it starkly apparent that we have a few players at the club who simply cannot he relied on to stand up and give it a go when it comes to crunch.

I’m a big fan of his but that was possibly Doucoure’s worst game for us - dare I say it he looked like a man who’s heart wasn’t it, and I don’t want players like that here. If you wear the shirt, you should be prepared to run through walls for it. He couldn’t even run through midfield yesterday.

Deeney was completely ineffective, winning only a couple of headers that I can remember and not really having any influence on proceedings despite more pontificating and tubthumping in the build up. He’s a very eloquent man and I expect him to have a very successful post retirement career as a pundit, but please Troy, just focus on the football.

Pereyra was the worst player on that pitch by a mile yesterday and I think I’ve finally lost patience with him. I understand that it takes time to regain your confidence following such a horrendous long term injury, and I thought he might be back to his best when he started this season like a house on fire. However, yesterday was not good enough. He should’ve scored that chance early and I reckon most if not all of our other attacking players would’ve buried it. He also completely hung Holebas out to dry by refusing to track back and help out, meaning he was often faced 2v1, sometimes 3v1 situations.

I’m also not sure I agree with this wishful sentimentality of people saying that we should be proud and thankful we got to the final, and so on. It’s a remarkable achievement, and something I may not see again in my lifetime, and I’m glad I was there. I’m not glad that day will forever be remembered as nothing more than a chastising and humiliating defeat suffered on a global stage.

It hurt yesterday evening. It hurts today. It’s going to hurt tomorrow, and probably for a bit longer. I just wanted more from them yesterday. I’m disappointed and feel let down. Man City are a fantastic team, and I don’t wish to discredit them or their abilities at all. I just wanted a bit more fight and guile.

I think we need a summer of change. There are at least 3-4 players in that starting line up who should be very concerned about their futures here.

I like your positive tone. Citee are in a class of their own at the moment with De Bruyne a pure magician when fit. Don't see any mileage in slagging off individual WFC players, Gracia's tactics and so on. I was there in 84 and left Wembley feeling we had been cheated. I enjoyed the occasion yesterday, bumped into my cousins by chance and had drink at half-time. My abiding memory is one of pride at being a Watford fan, singing together with undying support whatever happens. As for the future I think we will learn and do better next time. The only thing I would like to see is more stamina at the tail end of the season. But other than that I am reasonably happy with our season and the direction we are moving in.

We need more positive leadership on the pitch.

Deeney always appears a moaner rather an inspirer.

Compare with how Kompany sets standards & leads his men.

I have reflected on the final today and I think it might have been closer if all their players weren't better than all of ours.

That put us at a bit of a disadvantage.

There won't be wholesale changes because we stayed up so comfortably, and have done every season since we've come up.

Hmm..You know you may be on to something.
But, instead of Christians, footballers. The crowd to vote with a thumbs down on their own team only, and one player is kept on the pitch at half time and the hungry lions released. Might see a bit of increased trying during the game.

If ever I was a professional football coach one of the first things I'd do is gather the squad around, especially the youths, and say 'Never, ever, look at fans' forums and comments'.

There was one time in the middle of the second half a Watford player (Not sure who) tackled and got away from a City player (not sure who). Without hesitation the City player pulled him down and took the yellow card. Utterly ruthless.

Anger is perfectly understandable and acceptable in such a situation, up to a point.
I suspect people just get pissed off by your endless, relentless, gloom-ridden, smart-alec sarcasm. The 2019 Manchester City version of Eeyore, with added bite.
I'll give it you for stamina, though.
