You may, or may not, recall that last year in February, I went to the stadium in Glendale AZ where the Super Bowl is being held for the USA v Mexico friendly.

That is an incredible place.

 

I will only move from this seat for the next 8 hours for caffiene and urination. While your build up in America has been going on for about 5 hours already, ours is just beginning. Only two bloody hours!

He was 'American roots rock' coming out in the era of bands like Boston and Led Zeppelin. He seemed subversive and was therefore painted into the picture with punk rock, though he is decidedly not punk. His early stuff was really pretty good, though he had really gotten formulaic since the early 80's.

He's had a dozen or so hits, but these are the best examples of his work in my opinion:

He's the kind of guy who plays a Rickenbacher guitar, and that's almost good enough reason for me to tolerate listening to him, even if I don't like the song.

I'm going to watch this just so i have an excuse not to do any work ahead of uni tomorrow and also so i'll be able to relive those dark days as a reciever, knowing i could probably do better than those on the tv.

A 26 year old Iranian-American who'd tried out for just about every position during the 7 years he was at uni, never managing to hold down a starting spot but forced to take up the QB role due to pure ineptitude of every other person that tried out for QB.

Thankfully we had a big black man to run the ball like a tank but needless to say this left little use for a reciever, especially when you knew the QB wouldn't find him.

After 2 boring games where the only thing i had a chance of catching was concussion i left for proper football, the green 14 jersey retired to my wardrobe.

 

I once watched an American University team play a Japanese University team. Those Japanese kids got tossed around like rag dolls. It was savage.

I hate that kind of anthem. You need to be able to sing it as a fan, and if some American Idol craphead is butchering it, it kind of takes away from it.

Very awkward to be singing it and have the talent deviate in some weird way.
