Still recovering from a long day of drinking and barbecuing in the park and then the US v Sweden match at the Home Depot Center. We put together a $5 for all you can eat tacos, and $5 for all you can drink Newcastle (friggin Geordie put it together...). Anyway, I have emerged from my lair none the worse for wear.

So it seems the Pats haven't yet blown away the Chargers. I think it'll happen in the 3rd Q though. In all the games they've struggled in, they were uninspired in the first half, and then tore it up in the second.

Patriots vs Giants Superbowl. Just a shame we have to wait two weeks for the next (and final) game.

 

Indeed. Giants have done well this season. Trip to the Superbowl and an international game.

 

They are going to get absolutely spanked. The Legend was very poor today. I watched all up until the start of overtime beofre going to school. Thought, going to a middle class private school that nobody would mention it. Went in to stats and had some wigga go 'Blud, Giants in the Superbowl, yessss'. I wish I were paraphrasing.

I have now watched the overtime. Poor interception. He'll be back next year. But this is the closest he'll get to the big one.

Yes it was a poor pick to throw but I am not so sure he will be back. It is a good time to end his career with a good performance during the season and a run deep into the playoffs.

 

It will be interesting to see if he retires or not. He's been on the fence each year for the past 4 years, and then decided to try again.

I think he is retirement challenged and will play until his quality seriously deteriorates...he's got that type of personality. When the Pack extended his contract a few years ago, THIS year's run is what they had in mind. I would say it came pretty close to paying off.

What a talent Favre is.

I'll miss him when he retires.

Friggin' Mannings are NO substitute, nor is Robot Brady.

 

One of the reasons I hate the Patriots. Manning has a laugh occassionally, but Brady never wanders from the path to win.
