Anyone interested this year given it follows the cup final.

Ours appears to be a little more polished than recent years but we've found recently that quirky does well. So mainstream might be too safe.

Albania is a bit Evanesence like which makes it good but not a Eurovision winner
Armenia's is decent
Australia's is straight out of a Disney movie then goes all Opera
Austria nice lady, forgettable song.
Azerbaijan not enough cheese
Belarus has a chance
Belgium boring
Croatia could have sworn it was a woman singing, other than that unremarkable
Cyprus - regaetron which for some reason seems popular at the moment.
Czech Republic 80s throwback, could to well
Denmark The singer reminds me of Alice Morgan from Luther. Bit La La Land could do well.
Estonia pretty run of the mill power pop eurovision entry.
Finland. Featuring a star like Darude is cheating in my book. That being said it's pretty bad. What's happened to him?
France it's all a bit meh
Georgia no, good god no.
Germany Yawn
Greece actually a nice tune. watchign the video it's a bit Gaga. Not Eurovision though.
Hungary Man bun has put me off. Whistling has no place in pop music imho.
Iceland You expect some sort of thrash metal when you look at them. Let down, where's Lordi when you need them?
Ireland. Actually quite pleasant. Not a winner though.
Isreal a cross between Michael Ball and Sam Smith.
Italy forgettable
Latvia nice but not catchy enough
Lithuania weak
Malta more regaetron decent enough not eurovision though
Moldova very Eurovision soft rock. Made me think of Bonnie Tyler
Montenegro looks like it's straight out of a coke advert
North Macedonia bit miserable for me. Cheer up love. Probably why the south disowned her.
Norway I quite like this which means it'll do badly
Poland National dress, good start. Anyone remember Tatu? Seems to be a mix between them and deep forest. Liking it.
Portugal absolutely bonkers, out of tune and has a furry MC hammer dance. It could win.
Romania nice bit slow paced imho
Russia usual fare, nothing to see here
San Marino Yes perfect Na Na Na
Serbia the video features powertools set to a ballad weird but ultimately forgettable
Slovenia moody, again one I like so it'll do badly Needed to break down into a rock solo or something.
Spain trumpets and repeatable chorus. Could do well as it's up tempo
Sweden bloke at a piano then goes gospel like it's OK.
Switzerland another tip to do well.
Netherlands nope

France. Pretty good. has a cross gender thing going on which will be popular. song is more catchy the 2nd time through.

 

Yes, after Brexit, the UK will be leaving Europe and will join the America's as their rightful continent.

However, Australia are in it, so I guess it doesn't matter where you come from in this nut show.

Presume this is in jest. Last time I checked Israel and Australia weren’t in the EU, or even in Europe. Same for many other participants.

On 2nd listen our song is decent so it'll do badly. It's not a nil pointer comfortably lower mid table imho.

 

Why are we even discussing this when we can no longer finish 7th and qualify unless we beat Citeh. Good luck to the Wolfs but lets draw a line under this sorry affair.

 

Listening to them all in detail I think Denmark could do well. at 100/1 might be worth a punt

I've gone through all the songs twice now, (honestly my ears are bleeding). I've got rid of all the chaff and have a final 14. I'm going through these again to get a top 10, then I had a masterstroke. I'm going to take those top 10 and ask my resident full time music listening 17 year old daughter to go through those 10 and give me her thoughts. I'm not expecting much positive feedback but whatever she hates the least is the moneymaker.
Combined with Meisters list and we'll all be millionaires after winning the cup final.

Norway - A little Abba / Steps type Euro Cheese has potential
UK - Why do we persist with the same old tried & tested songs, will fail miserably
Portugal - Not sure what it is but will score well
France - Played the Gender card will do well
Sweden / Holland / Russia - All sound the same to me.

Why does anyone bother with this drivel ?
I heard the UK song this morning on 5 live. Utterly forgettable "it's bigger than us, it's bigger than you and me...." . Isn't "us" the same as you and me ?? Garbage.
It would be just a bit of harmless fun, if it was fun.

 

Ours is absolutely horrible. Turgid, whingey vocal, clunking key change, horrible defamatory video. I hope we get nul points.

Songs are dreadful
It is not "euro" vision.
The results are just political
Even the scoring has become boring.
Why do we continue to pay money to join in?
