If you're talking about the guy behind Murray for the first finish, thats Sinclair I think As it zooms out after the 3rd finish, one of the guys is Phillips, the other I think maybe Kabasele (?) but not sure
No the guy running behind Capoue. Sinclair was in the foreground at the beginning, but right at the end of the clip there is someone very dark skinned running behind Capoue. Can only think it's could be Sema or Sarr, but probably Sema as his legs looked bigger.
Sema’s with Sweden right now isn’t he? Impossible to tell at that speed but could be Ngakia? I don’t really know what he looks like yet - it’s probably a testament to my sad priorities that I could recognise most by their running styles.
Gueds was unreal in our promotion season, he did it all - tackling, dribbling, flicks, crosses, goals, through balls. Think the people blithely saying that Quina/Chalobah are better should rewatch this. They'd do mighty well to have a highlights video like this by the end of this season...
Hopefully they aren't doing their own thing because they are waiting on moves... As for the one beside Phillips, it definitely isn't Kabasele. Looks like Derek Agyakwa
As you say he was outstanding. Never really got a look in in the prem but was instrumental in our promotion.
Welbeck is one who i'm sure can't wait to get out - but doubt there's any takers in the Prem. It'll be Turkey or Wycombe away.
Such a fun player to watch as well. In each of these clips Gueds has the more space and time on the ball than would ever be afforded in a premier league game, or even a cup fixture. Guediora looked a totally different player in the PL, but dropped down and looked good for Forest (as did Ben Watson). I think Quina has the technical ability to pull of tricks and flicks like Guediora did and has a similar reputation for scoring goals from distance, but whether he is as effective for us is a different matter entirely.
I'm 99.9% certain some Premier League club will crack and pay the £5.5m release clause by the end of the window
I wouldn't be so worried about Quina doing the nitty gritty as it won't be in his brief so much. Chalobah on the other hand...
Nantes supporters have been saying they are after one of our forwards in the last few days & Welbeck was the first mentioned. They were rumoured to be after Louis Suarez in early August but I can't see that happening so maybe, just maybe, they're after Welbeck. The link for them is the agent Mogi Bayat, who seems to communicate between the Pozzo's and Nantes regularly.
It’s not the £5.5m that’s the issue I bet. There’d be a ton of clubs queuing at that price....but not for £75k a week when he’s injured for well over 50% of a season. They weren’t exactly beating his door down to pay that last season when he was free. Even less now I imagine with clubs finances tighter and even more uncertain in the next year or so.
Yep, and when you think Capoue was a massive upgrade on him... we need to fight tooth and nail to keep him.
Some of the Abdi and Gueds slander in this thread is frankly revolting. Hughes has a long way to go before he's fit to lace either of their boots.
Three times (a lady) Cardiff @3 mins 20 -proper championship game: Le Fondre and Whittingham being pests -Fessi missed a sitter -why were the supporters wearing blue? -always funnier from an opposition perspective.
Will he be after £70k a week though? Apparently it was £25k pw basic with us, going up to £70k in the weeks he played. Besides, after lockdown he finally managed to string a solid run of games together and showed flashes of the ability he's always had
Not anti Gueds at all - loved him and his heart but he smashed far more high and wide than ever went on target, let alone in
Turns out it's not Welbeck but Joao Pedro. Well that had better not ******* happen. http://sportwitness.co.uk/ligue-1-c...tford-starlet-others-nationality-also-looked/
On loan looool, I know we're in the Championship, but Nantes can get to **** if they think that'll work!
The through ball for Ighalo at Derby still gives me goosebumps. I still to this day don’t know how he managed it and with such perfection.
Weirdly if wages is his primary motivation and no Premier League club is going to pay a bumper salary for a risky prospect in the current environment, he may end up thinking he's better staying where he is. Particularly if he's more confident of his own fitness than prospective clubs might be. Still think he'll go if he can find someone to have him but wouldn't surprise me.
Valencia have moved out another CM to Atalanta and are being linked with a new move for Capoue, local media saying they’ve perhaps now raised the funds needed. https://www.superdeporte.es/valencia/2020/09/09/valencia-cf-capoue/469967.html
Seems certain we are planning for a season without him. Whether that is down to wages, Capoue's choice or a mixture of the both, it makes sense to get rid of him sooner rather than later to allow us to get a replacement.
Well luckily we know this is nonsense because some people earlier in the thread have already told us this, based on the fact that all media make things up all the time. So there's no way this can possibly happen.
