For anyone who fancies a laugh, I've just seen someone have a rant on there yesterday evening, complaining that because Deeney wished happy birthday to a mate on instagram but didn't post anything about the game last night, that he should be sold https://www.facebook.com/groups/401325703283083/ I mean, yes I believe he should be sold, but not for that reason! Does anyone else follow the (mostly) drivel and bedwetting that goes on on that page?
You can't access the content unless you're a member of the group, as people have previously mentioned the hysteria on there I made a request to join last year just to see it for myself. They didn't accept my request twice. Shorty obviously hates me but we've never met.
They are very easy to wind up. Believe it or not, but I actually think that there's more infighting on there than there is on here. The grammar (or lack of) on there is far, far worse though. I've met and taught plenty of non-native English speakers who can write better than some of members of that Facebook group. I tried twice to gain access to the group. They denied me entry the first time because they couldn't see anything Watford FC related on their profile. I guess if I had a bright yellow banner on my profile with me grinning through my yellow facepaint, I would have been allowed in.
Send them a sample when you are badly dehydrated. As for the bolded part I agree wholeheartedly. The level of articulation verbally and written is staggeringly poor. So much for improving standards. UNESCO does not seem to think so. Education requires real investment not the shuffling of criteria to suit the purposes of politicians of all sides.
That group is filled with idiots, it's like a Shorty cult on there. I deleted my Facebook last December and can't believe I ever used it in the first case now.
I saw one idiot on twitter having a go at Deeney for not wishing the team well ahead of the game on Friday. Fascinating that people are so indoctrinated now that they live in a world that if something didn't happen on social media then it didn't happen at all.
Gave up Face Book years ago when it started showing ads and deciding what content Id like to see rather than what friends were posting. Cant say I miss seeing peoples holiday snaps and mountain tops and babies that much.
