Elton promised us a concert in the summer, with us getting the proceeds, by then we may already be relegated and it may be too late to attract the players we want. Now we all know he's not short of a bob or two so how about, he give us the wedge NOW in time to spend in the January window, when it could be the difference between premiership survival;D or relegation. Then we pay him back in the Summer. Everyones a winner as far as I can see.8)
Would be lovely if sir Elton was to do that for us! A lovely extra few million on top of the few Aidy has now! If we want to bring 5 players in then we need at least £6,000,000 surely?
Not sure cash is an issue at the moment. Think it's more the fact we can't persuade the quality to come. I'f we're not safe at Xmas we wont get a decent player in. We won't be safe until we have got a decent player. Catch 22.

We gamble and sign raw talent such as Billy Sharp from Scunthorpe and the 'proven quality' comes in on loan? Alan Smith? If we go down it's no damage to his career as he'll be back at Man Utd?
That's what i think we should do! Young players as Permanent signings and experienced players on loan is the way forward IMO
...which has now been cancelled by the club due to the redevelopment works, so I doubt we'll be getting any money from EJ any time soon!
