Because it’s fairly widely reported that he doesn’t want to play for us. Whether that’s us in particular or not, or the PL in general, who knows.
I've seen a couple of interviews with him where he'd said that the PL had always been his dream league - he even did an interview a few weeks ago where he said that he recognised why he went on loan as even he didn't believe he had the legs yet to cope with the PL. I also am not sure how you've become so convinced that he doesn't want to play for us?! I suspect that if Arsenal did come calling then we'd be asking them for most of their supposed £45mil budget (Palace were already demanding over that for Zaha).

Don't say "cheers" until Burnsy has backed up his claims a bit more - Bild doesn't count as a legitimate source. From how I've read things, one way or another Lukebakio wants regular first team football - which is partly why he went on loan to Fortuna. There's no reason why he wouldn't want to play for us if we had a place for him - that's what he was annoyed about and why he might want to move, nothing to do with us being Watford. Sure, if a much bigger club like Arsenal, or even Dortmund, came in for him offering him a regular spot and more wages then I can see why he'd want a move, but if it was say, Fortuna, Schalke, or even the aforementioned Lille as alternatives, but we refused to sell and offered him the right wing spot and a little bump in his contract, then I doubt he'd kick up a fuss. A lot of these stories just seem like the German media trying to 5h1t stir, or perhaps Lukebakio just wanting a bigger contract and more assurances from the club. PS - I'm also not sure how Lukebakio could expect to get regular first team football at Dortmund, unless they're selling Sancho after all. Lukebakio wants to play in the Premier League for us, but does not like Deeney and Grays tattoos. There in lies the problem.
Why do you have to nit-pick all the time? I literally have no problem with you but you seem to think we should all be investigative journalists on here and find our own sources etc. There are plenty of articles out there where he or his agent have suggested he wants a move, isn’t happy with how we loaned him out and how he believes other leagues are better suited to him. My comment has literally alluded to that. Unless I know the player directly - how on earth could I know? But last time I checked, that wasn’t a pre-requisite of making a comment based upon things you’ve read with sources. There was nothing in my original comment to say I PERSONALLY was convinced. I said it was widely reported he didn’t want to play for us. I’ve seen articles suggesting he prefers a move. Whether you like the source of those articles is up to you but the tone of your replies is quite tiresome at times.
You posted an answer indicating the issue was cut and dry. Bild doesn't count as a legitimate source. I have no qualms with how I post, and with my belief that where possible we should maintain a degree of scepticism and critical thinking. It's not "nit-picking", it's aiming for accuracy. It looks like you need to chill out, as well as learn to accept the occasional bit of criticism or point of challenge. Perhaps you should go smoke a spliff with hornetboy somewhere.
You can hold your belief in that, that’s your call. It’s a fan’s football forum - hardly a hotbed for accuracy. If that’s how you want to post, go for it. But not sure why you feel the need to be critical of others so readily? If you want people to change how they post, surely it’s better to set an example rather than try and highlight every time someone posts something that aren’t to your standards? I accept points of challenge and criticism. I had a good debate with TUT and Jumbolina about transfers fees just today that didn’t have to resort to the tactics you employ. When I get things wrong, I’m only too happy to apologise and retract - I’m not sure I’ve ever seen you do as much? Not sure it’s me who can’t take challenge or criticism. And I have a newborn child - believe me, a spliff would be wasted on me right now. Let’s leave it there as I have no problem with you in general. And I would hope you are the same.
I do try and set an example - see my post above (for example). You seem to be taking the criticism personally. I also discuss lots of transfer issues and raise various points with lots of different posters on here, it's just hornetboy and yourself who for some reason seem to be upset if I ever indicate that something you said is incorrect. Nothing I said was incorrect. If you believe it to be incorrect, that’s an issue to take up with Bild, Lukebakio or his agent. I posted a broad comment based upon stories (plural) that have been reported. To say they are incorrect, surely you need irrefutable evidence to say as much? My original comment said it was as ‘reported’ which it was. I never said it was fact. I don’t know how you can prove what I said is incorrect. And thank you, well wishes appreciated!
True that it wasn't incorrect in the sense that you said it had been "reported", which it had been. However, it was still definitely misleading - because as I pointed out, the source for this supposed wide reporting was dodgy (it appeared to be a number of dodgy sources just regurgitating the original dodgy Bild article). It was also misleading as your broad comment still focused on, and was accepting of, the idea that Lukebakio does not want to play for us - despite the fact that there are other, more reliable sources which contradict this; as my direct quotes from him above indicate, Lukebakio has very much been wanting to play for us, the issue has more been that he wanted to actually play for us, and not just end up sitting on the bench most the time.

All of you relying on these phoney articles that supposedly explain the players thought processes should play the game that I play; which is.... Sit here drinking booze til i'm paralysed for a few weeks until late August. Then, wake up and be pleasantly surprised by the signings (or lack of) we have made as well as having a load of news about the club to be read en mass. For example, i've woken up today on a bari bed that i've been turned to a tomato on, with news that, in recent years, we've had a nonce as a physio at our club... That's the way to do it, and I can't be proven wrong.
