Is Nugent really that great that we should be spending £4+ mil on him?! Fair enough I haven't seen him play too many times, but I can see him getting knocked about a lot by the Premiership's central defenders. He has also only scored 5 goals so far this season (even Agyemang has scored more goals for Preston than him so far) and he missed two sitters against Birmingham at the weekend. Surely if we're going to be spending so much on a striker, given the position we're in shouldn't we be wanting someone in better goalscoring form? Doris' scoring record in the Championship at this time last season was probably better than Nugent's at the mo.
He's worth the money because that is what someone will pay for him. we can't afford to spend that much on one player at the moment unless there's a secret warchest we don't know about. Mayby Elton could do another Devlin for us
He is a good young player, but I wouldn't spend £4 million on him. We can't afford to do that. If someone else will, then that is their choice.
he may not be worth 4 million, but if he garentees our safety, hes worth it. Hes only 21 and we could sell him again.
Yeah, but is he, or could he be, good enough to gurantee our safety? He's not even doing that well in the Championship this season.
