Hi everyone, I am trying to get in touch with Watford legend, Dennis Booth but he's proved elusive since he left Carlisle United a few years ago. I am hoping to get in touch with him to discuss his time at my club, Huddersfield Town. Can anyone help at all? By either pointing me in the right direction or maybe putting him in tiuch with me? He doesn't care about your no account northern club over Carlisle United or any other Grimtown Athletic nightmare the poor sod might have had to endure in order to grind some sort of living out of football. And we won't need any luck against you, because we're a better football team and you're destined for an ignominious relegation to the championship, which is still above your level. The only thing for which you'll need luck for is finishing above Cardiff. I'm sorry to be blunt, but it's important that you remain connected to reality.

Hi morris. I was so sorry to read the response you received from our night porter. We've been working hard to get rid of him but you know what these union types are like - regulations this, processes must be followed that. Frankly, I think he's tied the management up in knots. That said, it would be really helpful if you would submit a formal complaint about him to the moderating staff. They have a handy 6 page form you can fill out to make sure all the details are logged - although beware, they won't be able to accept it without a police crime reference number first. Once you've got that it should be a doddle. In the meantime I can't believe Clive didn't point out that @Dennis_Booth actually posts on these forums every now and again.
Sorry Morris, you'll have forgive Clive. He's a bit left wing you see and i believe the reason he reacts so strongly when Dennis Booth is mentioned is because when he played for us he sported an Emiliano Zapata mustache. Clive sometimes confuses his historical revolutionary figures with Watford fc's midfield from the 1970's and this stirs great passion in him. Btw Dennis Booth supplied the cross for Luther's match winning goal at Old Trafford in 1978.. one of the greatest results in our clubs history. We were the first 3rd tier team to win at Old Trafford for 40 years and by complete coincidence today is the 40th anniversary of that victory. October 4th 1978..
Hi Morris Just try to ignore Clive ‘of the Kremlin’, he’s clearly on a wind up and could take it out on any unsuspecting visitor no matter what club they support. Maybe he’s just continually deeply frustrated how red Jeremy keeps shooting himself in the foot when he should be taking full advantage of a lame duck Tory PM. And watching young Teresa dancing onto the conference stage and sounding like she’s got more sense and gravitas than ‘our’ Mr Corbyn must have really put his teeth on edge, so your timing was unfortunate. Huddersfield, one of the friendliest clubs to visit with some of the friendliest fans imho. Hope you stay up but you need a goal scorer methinks. As for your request, I can’t help, but keep logging in as someone will have some info I’m sure, and Clive may keep you updated..

The first 8 posts of this thread are absolutely stunning. Nearly fell off the loo reading them this morning. Poor old Morris. Maybe it brought back memories of Mark Morris replacing our dearly-beloved Steve Sims under Dave Bassett, triggering the reaction.
Of course, I know how it works, so do you and so do most other people on here. His reaction was hilarious and a bit weird if I'm honest, but an outsider coming on here shouldn't really be given both barrels in the first instance, even as a joke. Baesd on his reaction I suspect he was either a bailiff looking to repossess assets or his wife had run off with Denis and he was trying to track them down.
Fack me, I think I know how poor Morris feels - that's almost exactly what was I was told when I was trying to build bridges at 'The Jolly Green Pilgrim' when I first moved to Plymouth. (1984 an all - except it was preceded by the local brogue "argghhh moi matey, just f*** off ... etc) I'm happy to report I went on the moor the very next day - ha - and I've never been to their sh#tty little football club - there, that's showed em.
Completely unnecessary and childish. Huddersfield are three times League champions and a very proud club in their own right. No doubt any fan of any particular club would say that whether they be in the Premier League or Isthmian. A fellow football fan comes asking for help and you decide to act in this way. Whether it's a genuine response or a wind up it's not really how we should behave. And more of a reflection of how needlessly tribal football can and has become particularly with the advent of anti social media and it's endless litany of unpleasantness.
Agreed 100%. It's embarrassing to have guests treated like that on this site. It seems CotK is so taken by all the praise received for his recent match previews that he thinks he's the dog's wotsits. The stream of bile against morris is more suited to the likes of SS Billy who comes on here specifically to take the piss. CotK needs to eat a bit of humble pie, apologise to morris and revert back to his usual persona. As for morris, if you do come back on this board (and why should he want to, tbh) sorry you had to experience that. We're not all like that.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to Morris, to Huddersfield Town FC, to Carlisle United FC, to Cardiff City FC, to the English Football League and the to the world of football supporting in general. I was shocked and horrified to read the responses above. I have absolutely no recollection of writing them, and so can only assume that in the same way in which prominent Tories have had their internet accounts hijacked by unscrupulous people in the past in order to write offensive ravings about which they're completely ignorant and innocent, so my own account must have been hacked in the early hours of Thursday morning. That's all I can think. Probably the Russians. No, I shall not be resigning over this.
