Reports in Germany saying this is a done deal to take effect on July1 when his contract runs out.

30 year old left back , who is "Going to Aogo go".

It would be a Miracle if we could sign Smokey Robinson too. etc etc etc

Looks like a decent all round player whos played 12 times for Germany which isnt too shabby.

An upgrade on Zuniga, which is big boots to fill.

Seems decidedly odd that Schalke will allow him to go free when Baba Rahman will return to Chelsea and Kolasinac is almost certain to join Arsenal leaving them with no left backs.

He does sound like a Zuniga-style, jack-of-all-trades type & we do need someone like that in the squad who can fill-in in a number of positions. I hope he's a bit better than the last one though

 

We have done fairly well in the free transfer signing stakes, I 'm thinking of Gomez, Prodl, and Britos in particular, and I don't think a transfer for was paid for Holibas, maybe when we don't pay a fee there is less expectation from the fans and less pressure on the player, just a thought!

TBF I don't think Holebas ever signed for us. He was just told it had been decided while he was on holiday that he had to come and play for us so he just did as he was told after a bit of a whine.

 

He's Greek so it was probably a bit of Ouzo

 

Apparently he hasn't signed, we're just Interested.
Schalke fans don't seem to rate him.

 

I hate it when we are linked with players like this. I hope if we do sign him he turns out to be a successful one like Gomes rather than a Zuniga, Motta, Diamanti, etc, etc signing. I'd love to see some real intent in the market to bring in real quality, not just cheaper out of contract players.

Can someone please make up a few semi-believable rumours about some higher quality players? Depressing that all we seem to be being linked with are players that are either old, unproven, unknown, just plain average or a mixture of all of the former.

But some of the out of contract players ie Gomes/Prodl are real gems and we can't afford a squad of 12-15 million pound players!

The Rainbow was a brilliant rock venue. Someone should buy it from the Brazilian god botherers & convert it back

 

There used to be another theatre of greatness not so far from Finsbury Park as well.
