Rank incompetence on behalf of the recruitment team for the 2nd window running. Of course Gracia will carry the can.
From Adam Leventhal's twitter: "Looks like Livermore loan deal from WBA is off. Possible other incoming though with West Ham’s 18 yr old attacking midfielder Domingos Quina deal in the offing. "
We had Deeney and Gray almost exclusivley the whole of last season. Im not worried about them. Neagtive in attackers? Out = Carrilo and Richarlison In = Sema and Peneranda You could argue over which two are better.. Success is better than sinclair and jakubiak. Gray and Deeney are being relied on and I worry if one or god forbid both got injured. But we are not weaker than last year.
In fairness he is supposed to be brilliant, Barca were linked a week or so ago. Granted, not what we need, but would still be a decent signing. Doesn't make up for a poor window though.
Wolves and Fulham have transitioned themselves from Championship to strong Premier League sides in one window. Everton and West Ham have strengthened enormously. Palace have retained Zaha which was imperative. The only other club to have such a poor window is Southampton. I think it's between us and them for 17th. Huddersfield and Cardiff to occupy the other two.
Surely Penaranda is a striker, and is now thanks to the lack of movement being considered as the third striker when Okaka ****s off. He's only played as a right winger twice in his life.
We all should be. Does this financial fair play rule still exist, because it seems to me that all those teams you have listed above, with possibly the exception of Leicester, must surely have broken that rule?
One of the things to keep in mind, Voice, is that the rule about wages to turnover and how much you can increase them in one season doesn't come into effect in the first place until a club's wage bills reaches £67m collectively. That in part explains how Fulham and Wolves have been able to sign so many expensive players now.
So we need a CB and a CF desperately. The club believe we need a CDM desperately. The club throw random loan bids around for 48hrs. Then the club add an 18yr old who plays in the one position we really don’t need any more players in. Zero strategy. Giraldi Out.
Hes actually pretty good. My boss is a West Ham fan and actually said he had no idea why hes not been given a chance.
For me, a bigger issue than the underwhelming end to the transfer window is how we're managing to start the season with so many injuries. Even Wilmot's now got a problem, jeeez......... Our best eleven is decent, even if you can't stand our forwards. But if we're struggling for fitness before the season even starts, then it doesn't bode well. The medical team - not lack of multi-million pound signings - will be the key to survival/relegation.
Anyone seen the Gracia quotes about Penaranda having no idea whether or not he'll get his work permit and saying he needs to improve and learn consistency to play, or am I just late to the party? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...g-but-says-youngster-can-feature-this-season/
I’m beginning to think not only is the medical team not up to scratch but we have a load of lightweights who aren’t prepared to play unless 100% or play through a bit of pain.
And also that Capoue is our only fully fit central midfielder? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...e-hornets-short-in-midfield-says-javi-gracia/ I don't really understand how this has all been allowed to happen.
Oh, and Deulofeu and Chalobah are both definitely out for the Brighton match: http://sport.bt.com/football/gerard...ighton-due-to-abdominal-issue-S11364288396638
