Leeds are not doing great at the mo, but healy is a proven goal scorer, and apparently Watford are weighing up a January swoop for Healy to replace the injured Marlon King.I think he'd be a great buy, personally i think he'd love a chance to thrive in the premeirship, but its just the price we have to pay, he won't be cheap.

We need a proven striker urgently. Healy fits the bill. David Nugent is also a target according to the BBC website

these are both good players i agree but are they premiership quality. we know healy and nugent can score goals in the championship, but henderson could do that aswell but look at him know. he is failing to come to terms of the stronger prem defences.also it's too late in january for a player to come in and take 2 months to adapt to it. what i am saying is that we need a premiership striker, proven and WILL score goals at this level.

healy has the work ethic to score in the prem, i think he is a more capable player all around than henderson so comparing the two is a bit unfair.
As for Nugent I think he is no better or worse than hendo, dont think we would gain anything more than a bigger wage bill by getting him.

I think nugent would be a better buy as healy hasn't really set the Champ alight were as nugent has and I think nugent would suit our style of play

    I'd prefer Austin Healey.

At one point between me, my mum, my dad and my sister we had 16 minis!

At 5'8" I was too tall for Alice but she was so much fun to go around in.

Clubmans are cool. What was it like driving a mini with 5 gears?

Driving a mini with 5 gears is not much different to 4 gears it just remembering that there is a 5tt gear.

A little less apinful on the ears when doing 80 on the motorway then. Couldn't hear my radio at that speed as the Engine was doing 5000 rpm.

Wonder why I wore out the crank shaft bearing?

I miss Alice. Am tempted with the new one although it does somewhat lack a soul. Now I'm old and lazy am tempted to get the Flappy Paddle gearbox Cooper S.

The new BMW built mini1 is a pile of tush along side the original 1275GT or the cooper S, like most BMW's over rated, bring back the italian job!!

"me in the back of the car, with my asthma?"

Agreed but Alice was a little unreliable and rusting like ar rusty thing rusting in the north sea.

Can't think of any other sporty fun car with a bit of character that isn't strictly for the trainers and baseball cap brigade. I actually tested th Mini One Cooper out for What car earlier this year against a Golf GTI and an MX5, but would like the S and flappy paddles. The Mini Two due out at the end of the month S version is Turbo charged now;D many a tweak to be had there me thinks.

Throuh name changing, started off as David Healy, Austin Healy, Austin Allegro and the I said Austin Mini Cooper S

So I guess it's all my fault.

Far more interesting than David Healey anyway.;D

Leon is interesting but really looking for something a bit smaller.

Healy would be good for us. He has a goalscoring instinct which we have lacked greatly this season

  23. wfchornet2

    wfchornet2 The Prodigal mod

But could he put it to good use... MK has goal scoring instinct but didnt do too great... Smith apparently has it but hasnt done anything... just cos a player has it doesnt mean it will come to fruition

But surely it's better to sign a player with the scoring instinct rather than one without or worse, signing no one at all!

Sorry I know nothing to do with David Healy but just like to say wfchornet not always my fault we talk about cars;)

Healy, is it likley he'd be worse than what we have? hendo, smith?

    do you work for them?

and back to david healy, i hink he would be good, and if we signed him we know it wouldnt e a gamble as aidy worked with him, its wether leeds would sell thats the problem.

In todays "People" it says that it is almost certain that Healy will be joining us, for £1.25 m in January.
I would be happy with that, any comments?

good news:) hopefully he won't take long to settle in to the prem like the rest of the team so we can climb up the league

yep by Red Top standards the people is an even bigger crock of carp

I’d rather believe ‘the people’ than the ‘news of the world’. Much rather have Healy than Adi Panicbuy! Healy would have a lot to prove and could be a very useful player

  31. berkshirehorn

    berkshirehorn presumably I upset/disappointed someone

Seems like good business to me. surprising no one else wants him, 1.25m is nothing to premiership sides.

does he have a dark side?

i'm sitting right next a leeds fan right now and he says take him. But not in the friendly, 'you need a striker, lets help you out way.'
