I think the only thing holding Watford back from being a potential PL main stay club is the overall desire and belief from those at the top. Unless we are bought by a very rich takeover plan which clears our debt and keeps our finances steady, we will continue to be little Watford in most people's minds. We do have a great fan base, one of the best pitches in England, a modern stadium and a family feel about us. I for one would love that all to stay. We continue to punch above our status, and that is alright, we know we can be better and of course will strive to be that way. If we can be well run, slowly chip away at the debt and continue to play exciting football with a progressive youth system and stay in the Premiership that would be all most of us would want.
Pots of money and the lack of them are holding us back. Just need Gino to contact some shady nation state, global corporation or oligarch and ask them to send a few hundred million our way. Look where that gets you. Turns bald frauds into the Mozarts of football.
