It should be shown on the big screen. The boo boy of the moment will be highly motivated to appease the Voice of the Shoutbox.
So what was the criteria for the ballot? Overseas and no ticket purchase since when? I take it you had to be on the overall database though?
If you have a chance later with a cat status then not entered in ballot by looks of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Vintage wine purchases come out of ‘Big Six General Fund’ I believe, not FA cup income. (and the selection must be maintained at 5,000 bottles)
2014 I think and no actual definite mention of having to be on their DB. It said to provide your fan ID if you had one.
Do you think there would be enough demand for the club to show the game on the big screens at The Vic? Or could there be a problem with TV rights or something like that, which would not allow them to do this? If it is feasible then perhaps the club could do this as I would imagine a lot of people who are unable to get tickets for Wembley would be up for it. The Club could treat it like a normal match day and charge a reasonable entrance fee, open the bars and food outlets as usual and perhaps also offer special packages for the day including food etc. all of which would hopefully cover any costs incurred by the club. However, even if the club did not break even on the day, it would be a great gesture by the club for the fans who do not manage to get Wembley tickets.
Great idea! Weren’t they going to do that once quite a few years back, the chairman (I think) said he’d watch at the vic as others couldn’t get tickets? But then we got more tickets and it didn’t happen?
Aside from any other consideration, you’d have to think all the staff who normally work at the stadium on match days will be at Wembley?
Ive got tickets in the City end with all my mates, it ll be a nice little warm up, run out game before my Sky Blues win the quadruple in Madrid. Have fun on your Big Day Out, you muppets.
I watched our game away to Man Utd in 1999 at the Vic on a screen they parked in the middle of the pitch.
We couldn't sell out our semi final allocation and only have a few thousand less for the final. I'm sure everyone that really wants a ticket will be able to get one somehow, so can't see there being much demand to open Vicarage Road. Anyone with interest in Watford unlucky enough not to be at Wembley would be much better off watching in a boozer
Still this morning my status is incorrect on the ticket website. I know we will all get a ticket but would like it to be straightforward and stress free, which it won't be.
Great idea. As the game isn't on free live TV, surely the club can fill this gap and charge people a tenner a ticket and extra for refreshments to sit in a virtually empty stadium watching a game on a never big enough screen with terrible sound through the archaic PA system. I think they'll be turning people away.
I hear they are already thinking about the 15 different ticket categories in order to ensure that only real fans get into the the Vic to see this. Ticketmaster are buying a new server with the stated target of halving the 4 hour waiting time. Touts are licking their lips.
I went to the 84 final, but I don't stand much chance of going to this one unfortunately on the twin grounds of failing to qualify for one and certain other difficulties of han heconomical and fiscal nature. So if anyone has a spare ticket that they want to give to me, free of charge, then obviously I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.
How’s progress peeps? The ring showing waiting time took me quickly to approx 10 o’clock but hasn’t moved for a few minutes.
Missing the first day fun as I have to wait until Tuesday so we can all sit together. I wanted the same selling arrangements as the semi.
Been stuck there for half an hour now. Same old sh*t. I know I'll get the tickets, but that's not the point. It shouldn't be this hard!
So far the 0-30 minutes circle has been 40 minutes. For the semi the 0-30 circle actually took an hour and a half, so might be waiting a while yet! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
