Anyone got it yet? RIP to all board members in advance.
Apparently a very potent strain has arrived in the UK called Kenilworth M1.
Never ****ing heard of him.
Can he play LB ?
I got their first album. After that it was all a bit samey
I'm getting scared, not afraid to admit it?
Fu*king WHO world emergency!
You should be glad to be alive now to catch it. In 1880 they just had boring pandemics like polio and TB.
So if I run away from a Chinese person who is coughing am I being racist? We need to know how to handle this situation in a PC way.
I’ve watched enough zombie films to know it’s time to lock myself in the garage with some tins of beans and a length of rope.
What goes well with the coronavirus?
Install a good antivirus product. You should avoid Kaspersky, they're a Russian government front.
The media love to blow things up. It's real yes but they have to suggest the worst case senario in this type of thing. People outside of China have recovered or at least treated.
This massive panic about human to human transfer was to a guy with underlying health problems and both he and his wife are not in any serious danger.
We have lived througb Bitd flu, Swine flu and Foot and Mouth. It's just the next phase. Am I worried? No because unlike when the Plauge hit we now have modern healthcare and procedures to prevent things getting out of control.
Am I at all concerned? A little, but causing mass panic to the population is only making it worse if they go that route. Thousands of people are born and pass away everyday. If the world was going to end why bother reproducing? All the new born babies will have no chance.
I'm being a little dramatic, chances are nothing close to this will happen. When people start to believe media propaganda about something like this, it's perfect for the masses. It is a problem yes, but until it reaches extinction levels we live on and exist.
Not every country has modern health care. And if you want an example of how bad things can get you don’t need to go back to the plagues. The Spanish influenza that developed and mutated in the First World War trenches, and was spread around the world when the soldiers finally got to go home killed tens of millions. 250,000 just in this country if memory serves.
The majority of deaths during that epidemic of Spainsh Flu was caused by secondary infections and not from the H1N1 virus itself.
If we had this virus and a number of super bugs present then it could be lethal even today even in modern healthcare practices.
I'm not particularly worried in this case, but I don't think that any virus that can mutate and evolve, which means that developing a vaccine is difficult, can be discounted so easily, particularly when it is highly infectious well before the carrier has symptoms.
The overuse of antibiotics to fight bacterial infections and the ongoing search (I think unsuccessful so far, despite "breakthroughs") for a way to combat virus infections is all showing that the threat to humanity is pretty serious in these respects.
We have been "lucky" that viruses in modern history have, thus far, mainly threatened the lives of either the very young, old or already frail people. Coronavirus may not prove to be devastating, but we may not be so lucky with the next one, or the one after that.

Guess what's arrived just in time for Brexit?
The title of this thread needs to have that [Confirmed] box put in it now I think. Last minute transfer deadline day confirmation. Coronavirus has landed!
Damn. Another 24 hrs and it wouldn't have been allowed in.
I had no idea Corona had a brewery in China but not shocked that poor health and safety regulations combined with most likely poor working conditions has led to something like this happening, I for one will never drink it again and I hope you will join me in this boycott.
If it spreads and the rest of the season is cancelled does that mean 1) no one gets relegated, and 2) Liverpool don't get to win the league after all and we all have a ROFL moment
Why are we flying our people back from Wuhan to potentially bring more cases here? Why can't they simply stay in Wuhan like everyone else and be subject to the Chinese authorities' handling of the situation?
China has closed its borders
Hong Kong has shut down schools
New Year has been extended. Anybody who left their home cannot return to work for a minimum 14 days
14 day incubation period vs 2 days of SARS
Happened just before the largest human migration in the world
it will be a huge global problem. Will a fit and healthy young person die from it...doubtful. Will it be an issue for weaker or those with respiratory problems..absolutely
No Wuhan clan puns yet?
Surely someone can come up with sometime along the lines of illin and/or chillin? both of which rhyme with penicillin.
Now Bird Flu has broken out in China, too!
this type of illness seems to also disproportionately effect males aged 45-65
not okay boomer
This forum will be the first place to go kaput.
All of your suave Italian/Spanish crushes will be laid to waste, too.
News this morning that Bicester Village is having a "tough time" due to Chinese visitor numbers dropping.
So it's not all bad news then.
Harsh. but fair.
Does Watford have beef with Bicester?
Bisto, if you will.
It's already taken RookeryDad and Nnnn.
