Coronavirus Werewolf Day 2

Burnsy was just settling down to watch the Prime Minister on TV, although the central heating was onhe was shivering a little. Curious he checked for a draught and then he realised the door was wide open, he went to close it but it was just about hanging on the hinges, he was still shivering and felt a something sharp digging in to his shoulder. The wolf picked him up and threw him to the floor, the wolf crawled up and was ready to mutilate his prey. He sank his fangs in and drank the victim's blood.

Burnsy was good.

The wolf, was satisfied but something didn't feel right. Now standing he saw a piece of paper with test results. The wolf tried to induce himself to vomit but it was too late, the damage was done. The wolf wandered out into the street and then collapsed.

Diamond was evil.

Elsewhere, another creature, hungry for blood chose the house of hornetgags. As the wolf came to the front path they saw that hornetgags was stood there waiting, "I saw what happened last night!" He shouted.
"Eat silver, wolf!"
The wolf froze as they looked at the barrel of a pistol from 5 metres, then came to, turned and ran. BANG, the wolf howled in pain, the bullet went through their tail but the wolf had enough energy to carry on running. At his door hornetgags blew on the barrel of the pistol and closed the door behind him.

Another character hungry for blood, rammed his way through Daft Row's door. The wolf swiped around the house with its razor sharp claws, upstairs the wolf heard a whimper from under the bed. Daft Row was lying there. The wolf dragged Daft Row out and then tore off his head and devoured the body.

Daft Row was good

While this commotion was going on, unfazed by the chaotic sounds from the other parts of the village, the guardian intently stood outside of nornironhorn's house weilding a silver sword. This time it was not needed.

Wow. After a very quiet first night, that is a very eventful first evening.

An (experienced) wolf outed and dead. I think there were three wolves and two remain. If another wolf is to be recruited, there is typically a 'full moon' where it is clear that a good character is turning evil.

The Gunslinger has been revealed. If you're allowed to say gags, does this mean you cannot be killed at night by the wolves?

Can the Seer please give both who they viewed yesterday and today in their message please?

Stupid n00b question, does the virus only kill the one player?

 

I think daft row was killed off for being inactive. Who else was inactive yesterday? I thought someone mentioned two players being inactive?

It might be that the other player messaged otter to apologise and is still in the game, but could that other player have an important role?

Assume Cthulhu was good as well.

All I'm going to say is I may have had one too many wetting Horace's baby's head...the aim was sightly off.

I won't be touching a drop today and will be undergoing target practice all day.

Now the carrier is dead, the virologist is semi redundant, so HH24 I've got some shifts available in the bar if you need to earn some extra spondoolies.

The Wake for our fallen villagers starts at 10am.

 

I doubt it. For each of the kills, Otter writes 'another creature' or 'another character' to clearly show that there are three wolves.

So, last night we had a stroke of good fortune.
Eternal gratitude to Diamond for eliminating the infected player.

Yesterday I decided to view horace_goes_up_north and I confirmed he is good.
Today I decided to view steve harrow and I can confirm he is good.

Once again, let's wait until we get the second message before wildly speculating.

RIP to Burnsie and Daft Row but their sacrifice was necessary. We have seen the news that Hornetgags is good and I hope you understand why I didn't reveal who he was yesterday. I viewed lowerrous today and can confirm he is evil. Do what must be done. Let's keep up the momentum my friends. Whatever it takes.

This just confirms what most suspected yesterday, in that the second messenger is the wolf, as in this game I am just a boring old villager. Maybe an evil, drunkard villager, but a villager nonetheless - dull as it is.

 

Cthulhu was revealed as good at the end of Day 1.

 

Yeah, but we still have to Lynch you - sorry.

 

I agree the second message is the wolf.

Message 2 has now told us they picked Gags on day 1, who we now all know is good. Therefore, if we kill LR, it does not really tell us anything we don't already know.

There is no way that the seer would know that Gags was the Gunslinger when he was viewed, therefore there isn't much justifiable reason for refusing to name a good player on day 1 but name two good players on day 2.

 

I missed that.

Interesting use of wording by Otter, which stuck out to me straight away when I read it:

If I was writing an intro I wouldn't use this wording. I also remember that in previous games, Otter has left subtle hints in his write up.

So my early theory is that the wolf has a 'character' in their picture, or their name may be 'a character'.

Early finger pointing at Opti, Going Down and Grrwood. To a lesser extent Moog as I do believe he genuinely forgot about the game yesterday, and Steve Harrow who I believe was most likely to be been found good by the seer.

 

I doubt Otter would make someone a wolf on their first ever go at the game.

Or maybe Going Down understands the game more than he’s letting on and is trying to fool people with his “n00b” act but more likely the former tbh.

There have been plenty first time players being made wolves in the past. I thought you'd know this as an experienced player?

@Otter - it would be helpful if you could clarify whether roles are picked entirely at random?

To be honest, if the second message is from a first time player, it explains why they didn't mention anyone on day 1, which I'm seeing as a bit of a rookie mistake.

 

For clarity, all roles were randomised, however I admit that I didn't include wfcwarehouse as a non-regular contributor in WFC Forums in general and a first timer here. He PMed me last night and asked to withdraw so that was just as well.

 

Does a gunslinger show up as "good" or "very good"

 

Wish that was true but if you search Werewolf on the Internet, this forum comes up as the 2nd result.

Im still trying to establish why we all think Horace is good beyond experience.

 

The gunslinger is viewed as 'evil' by the seer...make of that what you will.

Well, if true that means message 2 is the wolf.

I suppose to balance the character, given they cant be killed by a wolf, it would make sense to make them the equivalent of a tinker.

 

It's a fact, I am the gunslinger and I know I'm viewed as evil by the seer. It's fortunate the wolf tried to kill me first and outed me, if the seer had viewed me first then I'd be defending myself from a lynching.

Just have to nail down who I think is a wolf before I choose to take another shot...I have a suspicion. Of course if wolfie tries another run at me then I can easily defend myself or kill him.
