On your son making his deboooo for Hemel Town on Tuesday night (least i think it was his debut), i'm sure it made you very proud indeed.
Thanks for that Chewitt. Iwas going to post a message but am still struggling to do that although I think these boards are brilliant. Yes, Stuart got a phone call at five past six on Tuesday to tell him to be down to Hemel Town at half past six as their right back was injured. He had a slight niggle himself so is not playing for reserves on Saturday now. I thought he did well but then I am biased. Anyway Hemel Town won 3 - 0 so he must have done something right in defence. Did you watch the match Chewitt, if so what did you think.
No couldn't make it Tuesday but was reading the website and noticed his name appeared in the first team report.
Yeah, it was absolutley brilliant to see his name on the report. He didn't have a bad game though it cost me a fiver to watch him. Still worth every penny.
18. He played for the youth team last year and has been in the reserves this. I usually watch him when Watford play away and need Paddy to keep me in touch with the Watford scores which doesn't happen much. My son isn't brilliant but it is nice to see him have the chance to play at that level though. Glad you didn't ask how old I am, I'd have had to lie
nice one. as others said, you must be very proud. is it hard watching him play being so (naturally) biased and worrying about injury etc?
Not really hard as I've watched him play at youth level since he was 7. I do tend to watch him more than the match as a whole and concentrate more on defence than attack, but it is really good. At least when he plays for Hemel Town reserves I dont have to wash the kit afterwards ans there are no subs to pay.
