Worrying tweet: Family are concerned about #ClarkeCarlisle's welfare. If anyone has seen him can you please get in touch with his whereabouts. Thanks x I hoped he had exorcised his demons, I really hope he's ok.
That is concerning. Hope he's OK. Met him once - nice, funny bloke. It's so sad how self destructive the mind can be.
Oh that's not good. Hope they find him and he is okay. Recurrent Depression, a history of alcohol misuse, being male and entering middle age are all risk factors pointing at an outcome none of us would wish for.
Always came across as a lovely chap when interviewed. Hope he is ok too. Was a brilliant defender for us back in the day, aidy made a mistake letting him go.
He was last seen at 6am, so I hope he's just got steaming drunk and passed out in an alley. Beats the alternative at this point. Hoping for the best for him. A really lovely guy dealt a bad hand but doing all he can to help others.
This is very sad, I hope he can get on top of it at some stage, great he has been found safe and well especially after previous incidents and a pregnant Mrs. Good luck Clarke. Small gripe though, BBC reporting he is safe and well (?), played for 9 clubs, all mentioned in the article apart from us! Appreciate not really the place for this gripe but annoyed me as he played quite a few games for us and I think came with known issues but was welcomed to the WFC family.
Maybe Klopp called him up to play in defence for them? (Making the best of this situation, I really hope he gets the help he needs).
Bumpity bump. Clarke Carlisle and his wife Carrie have been interviewed at length on R4's "All in the Mind". Clarke is extremely frank and open* about what he's been through (and his ongoing 'recovery') and highlights one of the scandals of NHS funding: the lack of support/access for treatment for young male mental health. An absolute must listen. *Clarke and Carrie casually discussing him timing his suicide so that it wouldn't interfere with the family Xmas and that he would be forgotten by NYE...
Clarke and Carrie talked for an hour at my company's annual meeting a couple of months ago, pretty harrowing and powerful stuff and you could have heard a pin drop in a room full of 150 people. Very courageous and moving and I would encourage everyone to listen to the link if they can.
