Dunno where to put it, but as the winner goes up to the Championship I might as well put it here, but we're seeing some great ties in the L1 play-offs, Oxford condemn Pompey to another season in the third tier after beating them on pens after a 1-1 draw, and Fleetwood have got one of the three goals they need against a nervous looking Wycombe. Play-offs deliver as normal!

Danny Graham scored as Blackburn beat Cardiff to keep within a squeak of the play-offs, Cardiff still in 6th though Wayne Rooney's Derby County can go level on points if they win their game in hand, Blackburn 5 adrift. Brentford and Fulham both won, Brentford in particular are putting the pressure on the top 2

The scum conceded late to draw to Barnsley, missed opportunity for both teams, although unfortunately the scum have some winnable games to come so they're not dead yet

Rumours that at least three other clubs (after Wigan) will go into administration. Plus aren’t Sheffield Wednesday in trouble for financial irregularities. At this rate Luton will be safe.

Sheffield Wednesday having their case heard this week I think.

Must just be a case of get as many points as they can and hope for the best.

    Think Luton play Wigan soon.

I miss Danny Graham. Although his hair is just awful.

Although he was briefly on the up when he left us, Danny Graham's career soon went into decline, particularly once he left Swansea, and I think he will look back on the two seasons at Watford as his best.
However I do agree hair is important and he has looked slovenly for some time now.

Tough times in the lower tiers. Which means staying up is imperative. We don't want to end up in the abyss.

I remember he played against us in a Championship match we were had won. After the final whistle he stood in the centre circle for a while hands on hips having a good look around. Although he played for us when we were an average Championship team he certainly had his best spell while with us and he probably has his fondest memories when at Watford.

Currently watching Middlesbrough vs Millwall, Britt Assombalonga has just scored, nice finish as well. If the result finishes 1-0 it will put The Scum even further behind. There were actually Luton supporters thinking they could go up again at the start of the season :D:D:D:D.

As I typed this Middlesbrough have just scored a penalty so 2-0 with a few minutes to go.

Lol, that is funny! The gap between the top and the bottom of the Championship is huge, it's not like the Premier League where every team outside the top 6 is given a fair enough shake to be able to compete, whoever comes up from League 1 is basically bound to struggle in the Championship, not least if you're a team who's been in non-league fairly recently

Wigan won their first game since administration, puts them 8 clear of the drop (or 4 adrift if their appeal is unsuccessful, but even if it's not, they climb ahead of the scum to 23rd :D)

The bottom of the champ is really tight.
Massive game tonight for our best friends and local rivals up the M1.
Bottom and 5 points from safety with a terrible GD they look dead and buried with only 4 games to go.
However they are within 6 points of 7 teams (inc Wigan whose 12 points deduction makes them effectively on the same 41 points. ) and have an easy last 4 games against Huddersfield, Hull, QPR and Blackburn, all winnable for a team with a mini bounce since Jones returned.
Barnsley, a point ahead are effectively dead as they still have to play Leeds, Nott F and Brentford.
Hull have been in freefall, surely doomed.
So Luton only need to overtake one of the other 5 with a game against Hudders tonight that would leave them only 3 points behind them. Victory against Hull could then be enough or they may need a couple of points from the other 2 games.
    Huddersfield must win tonight.

Sheffield Wednesday are due a points deduction too I think.

Really would throw them into the mix.

Huddersfield v Luton on Sky later.

Yep. I'd be surprised if they don't stay up now. Last week's 0-5 defeat seems, well, a week ago.

I still have hope, they're still getting only 1-2 shots on target a game most matches even when on form, if the team they're playing defends well and scores the first goal they're fcuked. And Barnsley, Hull, Charlton, Stoke and Middlesbrough all have winnable home matches this weekend mostly against teams with nothing to play for. C'mon Huddersfield, get your act together - any non-Luton fan in their right mind would want you in the Championship over the Scum by a country mile.

I know you're joking but apart from against Southampton even we've managed better than that.

But Wigan and Sheff Weds likely to get 12-15 point deductions which means they may only need to finish 3rd from bottom to stay up

Another reason why the season should have been voided. The integrity of the table is now being distorted by points deductions as a result of the pandemic, so teams are being undeservedly relegated.

I don’t think it’s clear Wigan’s demise is definitely to do with the pandemic. And Sheff Weds are in the firing line for historic FFP breaches.

Sheffield Wednesday and Derby are being investigated for FFP issues and Wigan have gone into administration due to a very shady take over deal !

Nothing to do with Coronavirus really.

I think Sheff Weds are up for effectively fraud to beat the FFP rules

The EFL are due to make a judgement on their potential punishment but as usual seem to be taking ages !

Probably waiting till the final day and seeing how far SW are above the relegation zone..

Bit like that time QPR got promoted at our place but had a points deduction hanging over them until the final weekend of the season .. and got away without any sanctions.

Big club so Sheffield Wednesday won't be allowed to go down.

Amazingly, every result involving their relegation rivals went for our friends up the M1 yesterday.

Sadly, Stoke may slip up as well given they don't seem to be much up for the fight and Birmingham themselves aren't safe...
